I had the privilege of working with Goose, a Doberman Pinscher exhibiting reactivity towards small dogs, rabbits, squirrels, and similar animals, whose owner was hesitant to walk him due to concerns about potential harm to other animals and herself. Consequently, Goose's activities were limited to his backyard. Despite these challenges, Goose demonstrated exceptional intelligence and sweetness that his breed is known for, and he made significant progress during my time working with him and his owner at their home. I love working with the owner and dog together, I feel this is the best way to make sure they stay on the same page. The photographs show Goose walking calmly alongside a small Chihuahua mix, this had never been done before, which marks a substantial improvement and a testament to the effectiveness of our collaborative approach. By initially working with Goose and then guiding his owner, Nancy, on proper handling techniques, including correction and praise, we were able to enhance their bond significantly. I am pleased to have had the opportunity to work with both Nancy and Goose.
