We have some sad news to share. The Wichita Reptile Zoo will be closing permanently on November 1st.

Unfortunately, our insurance premium has increased significantly, and since we already operate at a loss, it’s simply not sustainable for us to continue.

We want to thank everyone who has supported us, visited, and shared in our love for reptiles over the years. Your encouragement has meant the world to us. 🐍❤️

A lizard may seem cheap at $25-$40, but a proper setup costs over $300. Avoid inadequate pet store starter kits; chameleons and bearded dragons need large, correctly lit enclosures. Research thoroughly before buying any pet, as a "sale" can end up being costly. Many reptiles suffer in small enclosures with poor lighting. Invest in their well-being. Thank you.
