Hey Tailwaggers! We are under a boil advisory currently, and you may be wondering what this means for your pup at daycare. At Tailwaggers, we keep a reserve bottled water supply here for times such as these to ensure your pups are able to drink clean and safe water.

The city has stated that water for baths and cleaning does not need to be boiled at this time, and we will continue using tap water for this while being extra careful to ensure your pups don't ingest any during bath time.

It is always hard to make a memorial post and also an honor. This one is especially hard for me, Kelly, to make. Today I want to take a moment to remember our beloved RJ.
RJ moved with his father outta state in late 2024 but once a Tailwagger, always a Tailwagger. RJ was an old soul and a chair thief. He was good at roasting in the sun on the warm concrete and quick to burrow under any blanket left sitting. His father is a dear friend and mentor of mine. I was lucky enough to get to spend lots of time with RJ and Chloe at my house. Eventually RJ gained a little sister, Dolly who he brought along into our pack at Tailwaggers. Keeping up with RJ, Chloe and Dolly was always fun for me. Devin please accept Tailwaggers deepest condolences, we absolutely know how much RJ meant to you and that you gave him the best life any wiener dog could ever have. Thank you for allowing us to love on him. RJ I hope you are up there running like someone left the gate open and have all the treato’s any dog could ever dream of.

Happy 6th Anniversary Tailwaggers!

It is crazy to think that it has already been another year, but here we are. I wanted to do something special for our 6th anniversary, so I went hunting through our photos to share a few from the start-up of Tailwaggers. It might be hard to believe, but we started with an empty building and a heavily worn lot out back. If you ever had a chance to get a walkthrough with Sean, you probably heard about how much that concrete pad meant to him, and here you can see some pictures of it in progress. The walls had to go up, the concrete had to be poured, and the fences had to be put up too.

Noah, Sean's son, which you all may have caught coming in and out in the evenings or in the photos this weekend, was instrumental to getting Tailwaggers in shape with Sean and is even more instrumental now behind the scenes, being there late at night to weld gates for our overhead doors (in 2020! ignore the photo saying 2026 :( facebook is mean), building kennels, and so much more in the beginning. This year alone Noah has been alongside the team making new canopies for outside, sealing the cracks in our concrete inside, repairing and spraying Rust-oleum on our kennels, putting blinds up on the fences to keep dogs focused on playing and keep our neighbors unruly grass from growing in, and now putting FRP paneling up alongside our indoor play area walls.

Tailwaggers has always been a small local business, supported by our community and built with our staff and family. Following Sean's passing, this has been highlighted especially by you all showing up after we reopened with hugs, tears, and love for this place Sean built and our small team. Staff, both current and past (shout-out Kelly), showing up to optional early summer mornings or long hours to put paneling up means so much to me. I appreciate every single member of our little community here, staff, dogs, and clients alike, and hope we can continue providing a safe, fun, and tiring place for your pups to go for many more years ahead.

Hooray! Three day weekend! Crap...

While everyone is relishing in their long weekend, we are getting dirty making some upgrades to our play area. Here is a peak at what we were up to today, but we will be back at it tomorrow morning for even more. We really put the LABOR in Labor Day. Thank you everyone for getting together to make this possible. Check the last images for a before and after of just our progress today.

P.S. Did you know it's our sixth anniversary? :O Some old pics will be in store for you all Monday, and a new dog of the month on the whiteboard when you come in Tuesday!
