K’s Pup Parlor Welcome to K's Pup Parlor. High quality grooming in a calm environment. My name is Kaylee, I am 22 years old with 3 fur babies. My garage will do for now.

I feel it is important for pet owners to know their groomers, so here is a little bit about me and my background. I started grooming in 2018 and found it was my passion, something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. So I built a grooming salon in my home, in hopes of one day owning my own grooming salon and boutique. I made it a promise to owners and myself to treat their Fur Babies with the upmost respect and love, to make them squeaky clean and beautifully groomed at reasonable prices.

🦨💨 YOUR DOG GOT SKUNKED… NOW WHAT?! 😳🐾

Don’t panic! And whatever you do… skip the tomato juice! 🍅😂

Here’s what to do:

🧤 1. Keep your pup outside
If possible, don’t let them run through the house. Skunk spray is oily and the smell can linger on fabrics, carpets, and furniture.

🚿 2. Don’t rinse with plain water first
Water can spread the oily spray around the coat. Start with a de-skunking solution instead.

🧪 3. Make a fresh de-skunk solution
Mix:
• 1 quart of 3% hydrogen peroxide
• ¼ cup baking soda
• 1 teaspoon of liquid dish soap

Apply carefully to the fur, avoiding the eyes, nose, and mouth. Let it sit for about 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Mix this fresh and use it immediately. Do NOT store it in a closed container—it can build pressure. Hydrogen peroxide can also lighten/damage some coats and irritate skin, so use caution.

🛁 4. Shampoo thoroughly
After rinsing, shampoo your pup well and rinse completely. A professional de-skunk treatment may be the best option for stubborn odor or sensitive skin.

👀 5. Check their eyes
If your pup was sprayed directly in the face or their eyes are red, painful, or squinting, flush the eyes with clean water or saline and contact your veterinarian.

🦨 And remember…
Skunk spray is no joke! If your pup is heavily sprayed, especially around the face, or has a reaction, call your vet or professional groomer.
