🐾 “It takes a village” — and we are so proud of ours.

At Urgent Pet Care, culture isn’t just a buzzword — it’s the foundation of everything we do. We rise and sometimes fall together. We laugh, we cry, and we work hard as a team.

This case was a perfect reminder of that.

A dog came to us after eating a corn cob.🌽 Corn cobs are particularly dangerous for dogs because they don’t digest and can cause serious intestinal blockages. Removing them endoscopically is especially challenging — they’re soft on the surface and slippery, making them difficult to grip with retrieval instruments.

Dr. Cederberg used an endoscopy basket to retrieve the large pieces of cob, but the procedure was not easy. Looping the endoscopy basket around the pieces proved incredibly frustrating. In moments like these, it’s the team that makes all the difference.

Our Veterinary staff stepped up in a big way — providing hands-on support, steady encouragement, and the kind of determination that keeps a doctor going when situations become challenging. They didn’t let Dr. Cederberg give up. And because of that, the procedure was a complete success. ✅

This pup is on the road to recovery, and our whole team is a little better for having gone through it together. 🐶💛
