The first time I met Remy, he was pretty cautious around me. 🐾 He wasn’t quite sure what to think of this new person coming into his space.

But after a few visits things have really changed 🥰
Now this sweet boy just wants all the love, pets and scritches I can give him. And with that precious face, how could I possibly say no?

🐾 Meet Allie. 🖤🤍

I’ve been spending time with this sweet girl for several months now, and she’s taught me that trust isn’t something you can rush.

When we first started, my visits weren’t really visits at all. I would simply spend time in her home while her owner was there—letting Allie hear my voice, see my face, and get used to my presence.

Then we graduated to “dry runs.” Her owner would pretend to leave, and I’d come in to feed her and take her outside. Allie let me know exactly how she felt…or so she wanted me to think! She barked up a storm every single time—but that tail never stopped wagging. ❤️

Now I visit her on my own. She still keeps a watchful eye on me and acts just a little suspicious. But every now and then she’ll quietly lie down beside me and every once in a while ’ll feel an unexpected little lick on my hand.

Those tiny moments mean the world to me.

You see, Allie is a rescue. Even though she’s been with her people for 7 years, her abusive past still haunts her. No one knows everything she endured, but her veterinarian stated she was shot before she was rescued. That’s a really rough start at life.

So I don’t ask more of Allie than she’s ready to give.

I let her set the pace.

Between us, there’s an unspoken understanding built on patience, love, and respect. And honestly, that’s enough.

But deep down, I hope that one day she’ll greet me the way so many of my other furry clients do. That she’ll come up to me with excitement, confidence, and happiness that shines through her pain.

Until then, I’ll keep showing because some of the greatest victories in pet sitting aren’t measured in kisses or cuddles. Sometimes they’re measured in a dog simply deciding you’re safe. 💕

Daisy is one of those dogs who just steals your heart. She’s incredibly sweet and beautiful, loves every bit of attention she can get, and if she thinks you’ve stopped petting her a little too soon, she’ll let you know! She has the cutest way of “talking” to remind you that your focus belongs right where it should be… on her. ❤️

She loves hugs, enjoys our visits together, and has the gentlest, most beautiful soul. Spending time with sweet pups like Daisy is one of the best parts of what I get to do.

Thank you, Daisy, for always making me smile. 🐾
