Cats In Need Whittier

Cats In Need Whittier Cats In Need of Human Care Whittier Chapter services Whittier and the surrounding cities, although we do get people from many areas interested in adoption.

Thank you for viewing our page! Cats In Need Whittier is located inside PetSmart Whittier, and adoption hours are Sat & Sun 12-5 PM. We have a wonderful group of volunteers who work tirelessly to help these kitties get adopted, whether it be fostering, manning the adoption weekends, running errands, or working behind the scenes, it’s never enough to say “we need you!” Please consider volunteering

: we need fosters, volunteers to clean the adoption center, feed and socialize with the kitties, working on grants / donations, food or supply donations, or helping during the adoption events. Each kitty has his/her own personality, but will come with up-to-date vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered. Nail trimming is free. Adoption fees range from $125-$150. Fees charges are to cover basic care, food, spay / neutering, vaccinations, FeLV/FIV Testing, Microchipping, and vet care cost. Potential adopters are to complete an adoption form and we will determine if you and your desired cat are a good match. Adoption hours - By appointment only during the week

A kitty caught your eye? The best way to figure out if you are his/her person, is to come down to the center and interact with your furever friend. It’s best to make arrangements ahead of time as the area can get crowded with potential adopters. Contact [email protected] to make arrangements. We look forward to seeing you!

We have finally kept our promise to our late Director, Terry Stephens. We have gotten the cats he had, adopted or have been able to take them to a sanctuary. The cats that one of the foster left in our care have been adopted or taken to a sanctuary except for 3. Abbey is available for adoption. You will have to see Beth, on the weekends, to find out about her. We are still getting Robbie and Gizmo healthy, after the person that took them in said they would take care of them. We lost a few of the cats, but over all they have all been placed and we kept our promise. We hope all the cats we have adopted out to furrever homes are doing well. We love them all and we will remember them. Thanks to all that have helped us get to this point. We wish you all happiness.

They know their names .. but sometimes chose not to listen.

Domestic felines distinguish between their monikers and similar-sounding words, research shows.

We need some volunteers to feed and clean during the week. You need to be over 18 years old and drive. You need to dedicate at least 2 hours in the morning or evening to complete this. Please come in on a Saturday or Sunday, after 1 pm to fill out an application. We need some dedicated people to help us out. We are at the Whittwood Town Center, PetSmart, in Whittier. You will be helping cats.
