Did you know?

Not all dental chews are created equal.

We recommend looking for products with the Veterinary Oral Health Council (VOHC) logo on them.

These products must be scientifically proven to work. Follow the link below to see an approved list of products from dental chews to water additives! You can also look for the logo on products in pet supply stores or online.

Another myth!

Myth: Dogs mouths are clean.

We LOVE puppy kisses-but let’s clear up this common misconception!

The truth is, dogs mouths are not clean and we should not allow them to lick their own wounds or ours!

Dogs mouths have different bacteria than ours, however, that doesn’t mean they can’t pass bacteria to us!

If dogs have wounds or lesions, the best thing to do is prevent them from licking as it can cause increased irritation and secondary infections. It is best to get it checked out so medications can be prescribed to resolve the issue.

Have you heard this myth?

Forget the Orbit! Let’s clean it up with regular dental health care!

Some things you can do to help reduce bacteria build up in your pets mouth:
✔️Brushing your pet’s teeth
✔️Vet-approved dental chews
✔️Schedule regular dental checkups and cleanings.

FALSE

Halitosis is a sign of periodontal disease or underlying health conditions.
