Then the weeks get busy. The season changes. And it moves a little further down the list.

I understand it. Someday is a comfortable place to keep things—there’s no deadline on it, and nothing feels lost.

I’m so excited to share one of the new album styles I’m now offering!

This is the Acrylic album, and I love how much presence it has before you even open it. One favorite photograph sits beneath the rounded acrylic cover, the spine and back are finished in genuine Italian leather, and inside are thick photographic pages designed around the images you choose.

I’ve always loved albums because they let you keep more of the story together in one place. These new options build on that with three different cover styles and even more ways to make the finished piece feel personal to you and your home.

I’m choosing four dogs and their people—one Grand Prize recipient and three Runner-Up recipients—for a fall photography experience here in Southeast Michigan.

You don’t need to write the perfect application. I want to hear about your dog, what they mean to you, and why this feels like the right time to preserve this chapter together.

There’s loving your dog. And then there’s realizing just how much of your life has become wrapped up in them.

The routines. The places you go. The decisions you make. The way coming home feels different because they’re there.
They can be loud and messy and complicated. They can rearrange your entire life.

And you wouldn’t trade a bit of it.

Because somehow, this dog became one of the great loves of your life.

That is the chapter I want you to have more than phone photos of.
Fall With the Dog You Love is about making something intentional from this time you have together—something you can live with in your home long after this particular chapter has changed.

I created Fall With the Dog You Love for people who know the ordinary days with their dog won’t last forever — and don’t want all of those memories living somewhere in their camera roll.

I’m selecting one Grand Prize recipient and three Runner-Up recipients from the applications I receive.

The prizes are different, but each begins with the same thing: time set aside to celebrate the dog you love and create photographs meant to become part of your home.

Think your dog could never do a photography session? Good news: they don’t have to “do” anything.

They can sniff. Wander. Get distracted. Need a break. Decide the squirrel across the field is suddenly the most important thing in the world.

I work with the dog in front of me. There’s no expectation that they sit perfectly, look at the camera on command, or behave a certain way.

So if “my dog would never sit still” is the reason you’ve been scrolling past Fall With the Dog You Love, don’t let that be the reason you skip it.

Bring the dog you have. That’s exactly who I want to photograph.

Fall With the Dog You Love is officially open. 🍂

I’m looking for four Southeast Michigan dogs and their people to be part of something special this fall.

Maybe it’s the way they greet you when you walk through the door. The ridiculous thing they do that makes you laugh every single day. Or simply the fact that this particular chapter together feels worth holding onto.

Whatever it is, I want to hear about the dog you love and why right now feels like the time to preserve it.

Four applicants will be selected:

🍂 One Grand Prize recipient will receive a complimentary West Oak photography session, a handcrafted 16×24 framed canvas, and $100 toward additional artwork — a $1,595 value.

🍂 Three Runner-Up recipients will each receive a complimentary session, one social-media-sized digital photograph, and $250 toward artwork — a $450 value each.

No perfect answers required. And definitely no perfect dogs.

🎉 I’m still taking this in! 🎉

Last year, I entered the International Pet Photography Awards for the first time, submitting five images and receiving two awards. This year, I challenged myself to submit 20 images—and I’m incredibly honored that 11 were recognized with 10 Bronze Awards and one Bronze with Distinction!

I’m thrilled with these results, but even more grateful for what they represent: another year of learning, growing, and doing work that I truly love.

Photography is deeply personal and wonderfully subjective, and there is so much beautiful, meaningful work being created throughout the pet photography community. I’m honored to have my images recognized alongside it.

Most of all, thank you to the wonderful families who trust me to photograph the animals they love so deeply. These images—and this achievement—wouldn’t exist without you. Getting to preserve your pets’ personalities, stories, and connection with you is a privilege I never take for granted.

I couldn’t do this without you, and I’m so lucky to love what I do. Thank you for being part of this journey. 🐾❤️
