NUR Farm

NUR Farm NUR Farm established in 2013 on 37 acres . The farm is named for our mothers. NUR farm is our dream. 37 acres in Grayson County, Texas.

The farm is named for our mothers Nurten and Ruth. NUR also means bright heavenly light. The area has beautiful rolling hills on which we hope to have a small vineyard. There are three established vineyards in the surrounding area. We hope to have honey bees, a large garden, and small scale animal husbandry, beginning with chickens. The farm is located approximately one hour north of Dallas.

We have had some unexpected events occur and will not be able to attend Sherman Farmers Market on 5/29/21. Our apologies.

The NUR Farm will not be able to attend Sherman Farmers Market this weekend due to a work commitment. Looks like there will be many great vendors there. Have a great opening day! We will see you April 17.

The barn yesterday before we prepared for animal safety, then the barn after. Sheep, young heifers, cow/calf pairs, and doggies in the barn. Older animals have access to the lean-to shed. Chickens are secure and in the coop and run. Farmer Levent is filling water troughs. Sadly, the faucets are frozen. Working hard to keep all creatures safe. (We have the barn wired for electric. We are in the list to have the electric company run electric from the electric pole to the barn).

We will be at Sherman Farmers Market tomorrow from 9am until 12 noon with our beef, lamb, eggs and some produce. Looks like the vendors have a lot of good stuff!
