Happy Thanksgiving to all our clients!!
We want everyone to have a wonderful day so here is some helpful canine dining advice. As you can see in the photo below, my girls will be enjoying a Thanksgiving meal this morning. Everything "extra" in their bowls is something I would eat myself. Turkey (no skin or bones) carrots, and green beans. Also, just a little extra, not a huge helping. Remember, if everyone at your holiday gathering gives your dog "just a taste", it can end up being too much, especially for a small dog. Dogs can easily develop pancreatitis from too much rich and fatty foods. No cooked bones, fatty skin, or dishes with onions, raisins, grapes, or chocolate either.
Sugar free gum made from Zylotol in a non pet owning relatives coat pocket or open purse can also be disastrous, as it only takes a few pieces to be fatal.
Also, while many dogs enjoy a houseful of family and friends, make sure you give your pet the option to retreat to a quiet place to relax.
So whether it be, Parades, ( MACY'S) Pets, ( National Dog Show) or Packers (GO PACK GO!) filling your afternoon's entertainment, we hope you have a wonderful and joyous Thanksgiving.
