Yesterday, the Morning Dove family had the incredible honor of helping one of our riders make his final journey.

At his family’s request, his beloved horse, Hazel, led the hearse at his funeral with another Morning Dove horse by her side. It was a deeply moving tribute to the bond between a veteran, his horse, and the community that loved him.

We are so grateful to his family for trusting us to be part of such a meaningful moment, and to our staff who represented Morning Dove with compassion, dignity, and respect.

Morning Dove Therapeutic Riding Center is looking for a part-time Therapeutic Riding Instructor to join our growing team!

We're seeking someone who is passionate about making a difference through equine-assisted services and who is committed to providing safe, engaging, and participant-centered instruction.

Preferred Qualifications:
🐎 Experience teaching therapeutic riding lessons
✅ PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI) preferred, or actively working toward certification
💙 Strong horsemanship and horse handling skills
🤝 Compassionate, reliable, and a team player
📅 Part-time schedule with opportunities to grow

When the temperatures rise, keeping our horses cool becomes a team effort! ☀️💙🐴

Our participants have had so much fun learning different ways to help our equine partners beat the heat—from making and feeding refreshing horse popsicles to giving them a cool rinse after their lesson. It's a great opportunity to learn about horse care while giving back to the horses who do so much for them.

These special moments remind us that therapeutic riding is about more than riding—it's about caring for our horses, learning new skills, and building lasting bonds with our incredible equine partners. 💛

We were honored to be part of the Indianapolis Charity Horse Show at Hoosier Horse Park this past weekend!

Each year, the Indianapolis Charity Horse Show selects a local organization to benefit from the proceeds of the show, and we are incredibly grateful to have been chosen this year.

On Saturday, two of our amazing riders took to the arena to showcase their skills in front of a wonderful crowd. Their confidence, determination, and partnership with their horses were inspiring, and we couldn't be more proud of them.

A heartfelt thank you to the Indianapolis Charity Horse Show, everyone who attended, and all those who support their mission. Your generosity helps us continue changing lives through the healing power of horses. 💙🐴
