Elixir Farm offers hunter/jumper riding instruction and training to children, adults, and horses. We create lesson plans that are individually developed for each student in our program to encourage progress in their skills as riders and horsemanship. We focus on preparing each rider and horse combination to succeed in weekly lessons and accomplish their goals. We emphasize safety and responsibility in every aspect of our program.

In our lesson program, students are responsible for catching their horse, grooming, tacking up, being in the ring on time, and properly putting their horse away. We believe that students develop confidence and courage by completing these horsemanship skills at every lesson. These aspects of horsemanship provide a sturdy foundation for the bond between a horse and rider that encourages progression in the ring. Lessons last forty-five minutes to an hour. Once a trainer feels the student is safely able to catch their mount, students are encouraged to arrive twenty to thirty minutes early to be ready to ride at the start of their lesson. Our barn is well equipped with lesson horses that are able to meet the needs of all level of students in our program taught by 3 different riding coaches.. We love teaching group lessons together and work as one team to create personalized lessons for each and every rider.

•Whiteford Maryland - 3 mornings a week.
- Exchange for board / Lessons / training / clinics / horse shows
- possible housing in the future
- Commission and bonus cash

•Duties
- Groom, tack up, and cool down horses
- RIDE training / sales horses (must be qualified rider)
- Teach occasional beginner lessons $$$
- Miscellaneous easy barn chores (dusting , tidying up, sweeping)
- OCCASIONALLY muck 2 stalls
- Bathing horses / leg wrapping / braiding
