🐾 SoHumane needs your help: we’re running low on towels! 🐾

As the weather turns colder and wetter, the dogs and cats at SoHumane go through towels fast. Our supply is running low. Towels keep animals warm, dry, and comfortable while they wait for their forever homes.

How you can help:
🧺 Donate clean, gently used towels
🛁 Bath towels, hand towels, and beach towels are all welcome
🐶 Any size works, from kitten-sized to big-dog-sized

Drop-off: 2910 Table Rock Road, Medford, OR. Tuesday through Sunday, Noon to 5 pm.

Check your linen closet, ask your neighbors, and share this post with friends and family. Every towel helps a pet stay warm and dry this season. 💙

Thank you for being the kind of community that shows up for animals in need!

Happy ! Today we celebrate Sarah Davis: an all-star CVT who continually shows up for the animals of Southern Oregon and beyond. Thank you Sarah for all that you do for FOTAS and the animals we serve!

Sarah brings 13 years of veterinary medicine experience to her role as a Certified Veterinary Technician at the Friends of the Animals Community Spay & Neuter Clinic. Early in her career, the skilled veterinary technicians and veterinarians she worked alongside inspired her to earn her degree from San Juan College and become a CVT. Her favorite areas of veterinary medicine are anesthesia and surgery.

After many years in general practice, Sarah was ready for a new direction and the opportunity to make a greater impact in her community. She especially enjoys seeing the difference affordable spay and neuter services make for animals and their families, as well as the gratitude of the clients FOTAS serves. A dedicated team player, Sarah looks forward to sharing her knowledge, continuing to learn, and working with staff and volunteers to keep the clinic running smoothly and efficiently.

A lifelong Southern Oregon resident, Sarah still lives in the home where she was raised. Outside of work, she enjoys camping and fishing with her daughter, Brooklyn, as well as hiking and reading fantasy series. She also shares her home with two French Bulldogs: Junior, the love of her life, and Georgia, who Sarah jokes “has warrants in three counties and is absolutely feral.”

*****ADOPTED******Tobe is a sweet boy at about 1.5 years old and about 65 lbs. He's a well-rounded boy who has lived with small kids, cats and has done well meeting dogs. He will greet you by crawling on the ground and showing off his belly. If you get down to his level, he will crawl up to you and sit up into your chest while giving you face kisses. Every once in a while he can be nervous with new men, but sit down on his level and he'll be in your lap in no time. This boy is as sweet as can be and would love to find a home with someone who will help him build his confidence and stay by his side. Are you looking for a forever best friend? If so, come check out Tobe!

He's fixed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date on parasite preventatives. He is $185 to bring home!

If you are interested, please call the shelter at (541) 474-5458. You can view more adoptable pets at www.jocoshelter.com/adoptions . Walk-ins are welcome, however we highly recommend calling first to check on availability and location (some animals may be offsite or unavailable). Appointments are recommended to reduce wait times, especially for dogs. Thank you!
