Nappin (Napkin X Warleggen)
Sometimes we have an amazing dog with a fantastic, sweet, loving temperment and then we find out he has one nut... okay, its a first! So, what makes him worthy of breeding?
Well, cryptochidism is a BIG deal, BUT... we will breed it out. While it may be tough to breed out, we cannot get Napkins brindling and her line back.
Though nappin is a solid black skinned, cream coat with black ticking, he has the ability to through brindle. Especially with a bitch that is already brindle. So, who will we breed him with? I think Danu will be the one, BUT, she is going to be bred hopefully with Ghost (Fusilli X Onyx). Fusilli pulls forward the thick chest and solid bones. Danu is friendly, but calm. She holds her head low, and has slanted yellow eyes.
Mix Nappin with Danu? You remove more of the furnishings that Danu brings forther, keep the shower broader faces, keep the solid black skinned, and through dark, silver dark and dark silver brindles!
So... are we risking passing on cryptochidism, yes, technically, but owners will be notified and if we know before they leave, prices will be lower.
I love Nappins laid back persona, he is soft and sweet and he listens. Not a single person that meets him, doesn't love him. He is not pushy, he is just a wonderful boy with great potential in the genes!

This is Ethereum (Neera X Warleggen)
Why did we keep Ethereum? What is it that she has that we want to further the lines? Why is she blonde and why do we want this color, or does color matter?
Ethereum has the BEST temperament of most of the dogs on the property. I mean, this girl score a 10++. You can't get higher. She is confident, yet calm, soft and thoughtful. She watches you and has empathy, she hugs you with her soul and she "hears" you. She is one of those once in a lifetime dogs.
Her coat color doesn't matter because what is behind her does. Neera is out of Anastasia and Naga and Anastasia is out of Boss and Vegas. Now... though Ana's line isn't the greatest, it is stronger education. She holds old lines that go all the way back and she ALWAYS pulls greatness. In strong bones and great health, her lines may be a bit varied in temperment, that's okay, we can move past this, because they are highly intelligent, but the strength comes from the long breeding of greatness that matters.
Boss does have a known Osteosarcoma* that has been found in the older dogs lines that we are just learning about in the last year, so we are watching, but the confirmation is strong, temperments are great and the "large" pull through. Moving forward, the farther we get from the line, while still doubling it to pull the good forward, we get the Dire Wolf size from him.
On her father's side, we get Naga and if anyone knows the Naga lines, you know the size that comes from this line. Strong, large, healthy, big headed dogs. On the mothers side of the Naga side, we get Ashley. Now, Ashley has been out of the picture in most lines, BUT this dog is AMAZING. She is large, thick, so soft and sweet in temperment and EVERY TIME we have this dog in the back, she throws thick, solid, big necked dogs.
Ethereum has a cape on her shoulders that is visible, semi harsh but still with a soft undercoat. Her shedding is minimal, and easy to shed and though she looks "rough", she is soft to cuddle.
Her eyes are not yellow, but she will throw yellow, and they are almond shaped, which resembles a wolf.
She does have furnishings on her face and will throw a pup or two with furnishings, but to use, this doesn't matter, as we need the rough coat to give the Dire Wolf appearance. So of you want a pup from this line I the future, just know that she may through a bit of these furnishings.
So, Ethereum may not be what someone might think is "special", but dont let her 92 lb size fool you, because IF she ever does give us puppies, greatness will ensue all around!
