If your pet has had an unfortunate run-in with a skunk, don’t panic—and please don’t reach for tomato juice! 🍅 It doesn’t actually remove the odor.

At MeowWoof, we use the professional IV San Bernard de-skunk treatment system to safely break down and eliminate skunk odor while being gentle on your pet’s skin and coat.

✨ Here’s what to do:
• Keep your pet outside if possible to avoid spreading the smell indoors.
• Avoid getting them wet before treatment, as water can set the skunk odor deeper into their hair and skin, making it much harder to remove.
• Give us a call as soon as possible—the sooner we can treat them, the better the results.

Can’t make it in right away? We’ve got you covered! We can pre-mix the professional IV San Bernard de-skunk products for you to purchase, along with instructions so you can treat your pet yourself at home or at a DIY pet wash. That way, you can start fighting the odor as quickly as possible.

My heart is feeling extra full today. 🐾💜

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to every single pack member and furend who has trusted MeowWoof with your beloved pets, shared our posts, told a friend about us, left a review, cheered us on, or supported this little grooming dream in any way.

Your kindness, encouragement, referrals, sweet messages, and loyal appointments mean more than you probably realize.

🔥 Heat Index Warning for Our Furends! 🔥

Middle Tennessee is under an Extreme Heat Warning, with heat index values possibly reaching up to 112° this week. That kind of heat can become dangerous for pets very quickly.

Please keep dogs and cats indoors as much as possible, limit potty breaks and walks to early morning or late evening, and remember: if the pavement is too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws.

Watch for signs of overheating:
Heavy panting, drooling, weakness, confusion, vomiting, bright red or pale gums, collapse, or acting “not right.”

If your pet seems overheated:
Get them into AC or shade immediately, offer small amounts of cool/tepid water, wet paws, belly, armpits, and groin with cool — not ice cold — water, and call your vet or emergency vet right away.

At MeowWoof, we love a cute summer glow-up, but safety comes first. Keep those babies cool, hydrated, and snuggled inside this week. 🐾☀️

Hammy came in already adorable and left serving full fluffy little diva energy. A fresh groom, a sweet bow, and that MeowWoof magic brought this cutie’s sparkle right back out.

Dearest Pack Members and Fur-ends,

It’s time for another, Friday I’m in love!

This Friday, we find ourselves very much in love with fuller appointment books, fluffier friends, fresh bath therapies, and haircuts so darling they could stop traffic on Main Street.

The MeowWoof pack is growing sweeter by the day, and we are especially excited to share that our newest Pack-Stylist, Samantha, will be joining us the week after the Fourth of July. Do keep watch for her official introduction post soon — we cannot wait for you all to meet her properly.

In other delightful news, our sign outside has been painted and hung, making our storefront feel even more welcoming, warm, and perfectly synergistic. Little by little, the Den continues to bloom.

We are still searching for an affordable person or company to clean, buff, polish, and shine our shop floors, so if you know someone trustworthy, send them our way.

We are a small-breed dog and cat grooming salon with a focus on gentle handling, skin and coat care, and creating a lower-stress grooming experience for pets.

We’re looking for someone who is confident, patient, and experienced with cats.

Position:

Pet Groomer / Groomer with Cat Experience

Ideal candidate:

* Has experience safely grooming cats
* Understands feline body language and stress signals
* Can bathe, dry, brush, deshed, shave, and handle matting safely
* Is calm, patient, and gentle
* Keeps safety first — always
* Works well in a peaceful, small salon environment
* Communicates professionally with clients
* Is reliable and drama-free
* Is comfortable working by appointment only

* Have Fear Free or feline handling education

Dearest pack members and fur-ends,

It is once again time for a little Friday, I’m in Love recap from the MeowWoof pack. 🐾💕

This week, our sweet student extern, Evelyn, is finishing up her last few hands-on training hours with us, and let it be known throughout the grooming ton… this girl is going to make an amazing groomer. She has such a gentle heart, a willingness to learn, and that special kind of patience this work truly requires.

Honestly, if she lived closer, we would gladly keep her right here with us at MeowWoof. But alas, distance has other plans. So, if any of our fur-ends ever find themselves needing a groomer out near Darden, Tennessee, reach out… I know a gal. 😉

We have also had the joy of welcoming a few new beloved pack members into the MeowWoof family, while also saying goodbye to a few of our precious elderly ones. Those goodbyes are never easy. Every gray muzzle, every slow little step, every familiar face that has trusted us over the years leaves paw prints on our hearts forever.

MeowWoof is growing, changing, and stepping into a beautiful new chapter. We are actively searching for like-minded groomers who understand that this work is more than haircuts — it is care, patience, connection, and heart.

Here’s to our students, our seniors, our new pack members, our longtime loyal fur-ends, and the happy pack we are continuing to build together.
