Hi everyone! I'm sharing this on behalf of a wonderful family who are facing unexpected hardships and have made the incredibly difficult decision to find a loving new home for their dog, Archie.

I've had the pleasure of pet sitting Archie for the past few years, and I can honestly say he is the sweetest boy. He's affectionate and deserves a family who will love him as much as his current one does.

Meet Archie!
Age: 4 years old
-Breed Mix: A truly unique "designer dog" with the striking coat of a German Shepherd, the adorable, low-slung body of a Basset Hound, and the sweet, expressive face of who knows what.
-Training & Skills: Fully house-trained, crate-trained, and knows the basics (sit, down, off, and spin). He walks very well on a leash and completely ignores other dogs when passing them on walks.

About Archie
Archie is a wonderful 4-year-old companion with a quirky, endearing look and a huge heart to match. Born into rescue, he is now looking for a loving new home due to an unexpected family hardship.
-Personality & Favorites: Archie is a fantastic blend of playful and cozy. He loves tossing around his toys, happily chewing on his bones, and curling up right next to you on the couch for a good cuddle session.
-The Ideal Home: Archie would thrive best in a calmer environment with children over the age of 12. Because he plays quite rough, he would likely do best as the only dog in the home, and he cannot go to a home with small pets like cats or bunnies.
-Exercise & Routine: Archie deals with some anxiety, which is best managed with consistent, regular walks. While he is great at ignoring other dogs on walks, he despises the sound of e-bikes and e-scooters, which has made him more reactive to things with wheels. A home ready to help him manage and navigate these specific triggers would be ideal!

Archie has so much love to give the right family. If you are looking for a loyal couch buddy and walking partner who is already well-mannered and eager for a dedicated home, Archie could be your perfect match!
