MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 28TH IS WORLD RABIES DAY! 🌎🐾

And Hazel has a very important message for all her furry friends…

💚 GET VACCINATED! 💉🐶🐱

Rabies is no joke, but protecting your pets is as easy as keeping those vaccines up to date! 🐾

And remember, here in Virginia, rabies vaccination is required by law for dogs and cats 4 months and older.

So take it from Hazel: check those vaccine records, make sure your pets are protected, and give yourself a little peace of mind. If you are unsure if your pet is due, give us a call. We are happy to check on those records for you!

Happy (early) World Rabies Day from Hazel and the Maple Lane family! 🐶🐱🌎💚

🚨🐾 Rabies PSA for our Maple Lane community 🐾🚨

A stray kitten found near Willowridge Drive in Thaxton, Virginia, has tested positive for rabies. Thaxton is about two hours from our clinic, but this is an important reminder for all pet owners to keep vaccinations up to date.

Virginia law requires dogs and cats 4 months of age and older to be vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian, and their vaccinations must remain current.

Rabies is a serious disease, and vaccination helps protect both our pets and our community. Please check your pet’s rabies certificate and contact your veterinarian if they’re due or you’re unsure of their status.

Please share to help spread the word! 💚🐶🐱

The Central Virginia Health District said Wednesday that it confirmed a case of rabies in a stray kitten in Bedford County.

Boarding Buddy Spotlight: Chopper! 💚

Chopper is spending some time boarding with us, and we’re so happy to have this sweet diabetic kitty in our care! 🐱

For pets with medical needs, having a veterinary team nearby can bring extra peace of mind. While Chopper enjoys his stay, our team is close by if a concern comes up, and we can help make sure he receives the care and attention he needs.

We know how much it means to feel comfortable when your pet is away from home. Chopper, you’re in good hands! 💚🐾

Big puppy energy at Maple Lane! 🐾

Meet Frankie, our newest (and already pretty big!) puppy boarder! He’s spending some time with our vet assistant and kennel manager, Leah, and we think it’s safe to say he’s in very good hands.

Frankie is bringing plenty of puppy sweetness and energy here, and we’re so happy to have him staying with us!

Give this handsome boy some love in the comments. 🐶
