Ortrugo TTF is a baroque-style Friesian stallion with a big personality and an even bigger presence. He’s been exposed to large environments like Midwest Horse Fair and handles it with ease. Broke to ride, rides well with other horses, and is the kind you can pull out after time off and go enjoy.
As a breeding stallion, he is straightforward and reliable. Proven with multiple stunning foals (photos available upon request). He breeds live cover and is also phantom trained without the need for a tease mare. His AV (Phantom) can be included. He ships super well with cheap extender. High potent semen with no issues. He would be a great first Stallion for a new breeder.
He is incredibly friendly, polite, and truly enjoys people. I’ve owned him since he was a 2-year-old, and this decision is not being made lightly—he is my heart horse.

To be fully transparent—he doesn’t love to stand for long periods. He will stand, but I hold him to a high standard. For most people, this likely wouldn’t be an issue.
I’m heading in a different direction, but he owes me nothing.

We had originally planned for Ortrugo TTF to attend the Midwest Horse Fair this year, but due to some exciting new adventures and opportunities coming up, he will not be making the trip.

Even though he won’t be at the fair in person, we still want to extend our Midwest Horse Fair special. For a limited time, Ortrugo TTF’s stud fee will be offered at $600.

My first ever sales opinion. Here y’all go!

Part of selling horses, especially on consignment, is dealing with tire kickers, window shoppers, and people who aren’t ready to buy. That’s not something to complain about. That’s literally the job.

Owners pay consigners so they don’t have to answer a hundred messages, w**d through time wasters, or spend hours educating people who aren’t serious. Our role is to filter, communicate, and protect the owner’s time while making sure the right buyers get access to the right horses.

A $30,000 horse deserves the same level of professionalism, responsiveness, and effort as a $2,000 horse. Every buyer inquiry matters, because every sale matters regardless of price point.

And no, I won’t be adding a non-refundable showing deposit. That’s stupid. Serious buyers don’t need to be nickel-and-dimed just to sit on a horse, and professionalism shouldn’t come with a paywall.

If you don’t want to deal with the public, don’t sell horses or don’t offer consignment. But let’s stop acting like buyer questions are an inconvenience. Handling that professionally is what separates a good seller from a frustrated one.
