🐾 Prada’s Journey to Easier Breathing 🐾
Sweet Prada recently underwent Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS) surgery at Bradford Hills Veterinary Hospital, performed by Dr. Duffy, who is pictured here with Prada during her recovery ❤️
Prada’s procedure included:
✔️ Stenotic Nare (Nostril) Resection to widen her nostrils and improve airflow
✔️ Soft Palate Resection to remove excess tissue obstructing her airway
Using our state-of-the-art LigaSure surgical system, Dr. Duffy was able to perform the soft palate resection with exceptional precision while minimizing bleeding and tissue trauma. This advanced technology helps improve surgical efficiency and can contribute to a smoother recovery for our patients.

BOAS is commonly seen in brachycephalic (flat-faced) breeds such as Boston Terriers, French Bulldogs, Pugs, and English Bulldogs. Common signs include:
🔹 Loud breathing or snoring
🔹 Exercise intolerance
🔹 Excessive panting
🔹 Difficulty breathing, especially during warm weather
At Bradford Hills Veterinary Hospital, we are proud to offer advanced airway surgery to help improve the comfort, breathing, and quality of life of our patients.
Please join us in wishing Prada a smooth recovery and many years of easier breathing ahead! 💙🐶
