Did you know Great Danes are prone to hip and elbow dysplasia, which are developmental conditions that can affect mobility and quality of life.

That's why early screening is so important!

We recommend a baseline orthopedic exam as early as 12 months of age 📆. X-rays can help detect hip or elbow dysplasia before signs of pain or arthritis appear 🐕. Early detection allows us to create a plan to support joint health, mobility, and long-term comfort ✔️. Keeping your Dane lean, active (but not overdoing it!) and on joint supplements can make a big difference ❤.

Some visits are just better together... especially when sisters are involved! 💕🐱

Nadia and Vanya were the highlight of our day, we loved getting to spend time with these beautiful sisters!

Did you know Siamese cats are one of the most social and vocal cat breeds? They're known for forming strong bonds with their families—and often with each other, especially if they grow up together. Their intelligence, playful nature, and love of companionship make them wonderful lifelong friends.

Oliver and our Hospital Manager, Rebecca, were soaking up all the cuddles & kisses during his pre-surgical bloodwork appointment! 🐾💛

While the snuggles were the highlight of the day, Oliver's visit also served an important purpose. Pre-surgical bloodwork helps us evaluate your pet's overall health before anesthesia, checking for underlying concerns that may not be visible during a physical exam. It gives our veterinary team valuable information about organ function and helps us create the safest anesthesia plan possible for your pet.

We're so glad we got some extra time with this handsome guy before his procedure. Wishing you the smoothest surgery and a speedy recovery, Oliver! 🩺🐶💙

We've love having Sean, an aspiring veterinarian, spend time shadowing our team here at the hospital. Working alongside our veterinarians and veterinary technician Rachel, Sean has had the chance to experience many aspects of daily practice—from observing surgeries and radiology to wellness exams, patient care, and everything in between.

Shadowing is an invaluable step for students considering a career in veterinary medicine. It provides a firsthand look at the knowledge, teamwork, compassion, and dedication that go into caring for every patient. It's also a chance to ask questions, build practical knowledge, and gain experience that simply can't be learned from a textbook.

Quality time and healing? That's a perfect combination! ❤️🐾

Lindsey and sweet Otto enjoyed some extra snuggles during his laser therapy appointment, proving that some treatments can be both relaxing and beneficial.

Therapeutic laser therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate the body's natural healing process at the cellular level. This non-invasive, drug-free treatment can help reduce inflammation, relieve pain, improve circulation, and speed tissue repair. It's commonly used to support pets recovering from surgery or injuries, as well as those managing chronic conditions like arthritis, hip dysplasia, back pain, and other musculoskeletal issues.

Many pets find laser therapy soothing, and some even become so comfortable they relax enough to nap during their treatment! It's one of the many ways we help improve comfort, mobility, and quality of life for pets of all ages.

There's nothing sweeter than a puppy visit! 🐶💙

Beano recently stopped by for one of those important early appointments, and we loved getting to spend time with this growing pup! Puppy visits are about so much more than vaccines—they're the foundation for a lifetime of good health.

During puppy appointments, we monitor growth and development, discuss nutrition, answer training and behavior questions, establish preventive care for parasites, and make sure vaccinations stay on schedule. These visits also help puppies build positive experiences with the veterinary team, making future visits less stressful.

Let's be honest...it's not just the doctors and technicians who look forward to puppy visits—our receptionists (Cori) need their puppy cuddles, too! 🥹🐾 A wagging tail and a few snuggles at the front desk can brighten everyone's day.
