🐾❤️🎓 THANKFUL THURSDAY ~ THIS ONE IS FOR ALL OF YOU! 🎓❤️🐾
Usually on Thankful Thursday, we shine the spotlight on one special parent. But this week, we couldn’t choose just one… because the truth is, we are thankful for ALL of our Fur Baby University parents. 🥹❤️
Every morning, you walk through our doors and hand us someone who means the absolute world to you. They may have four paws, wagging tails, wet noses and occasionally selective hearing 😂… but we know they are your babies. And the fact that you trust us to love them, protect them, care for them and become part of their lives is something we will never take for granted.
Thank you for trusting us with the babies who sleep in your beds, steal your pillows, eat better than some humans, have more clothes than necessary, ride sh***un like they pay the car note, and somehow manage to run your entire household. 😂🐶
But today, we want to talk about YOU~THE PARENTS. ❤️
You have no idea how much YOU have become part of our days, too. We know the parents who come through the door in a hurry trying to make it to work, the ones who have time for a quick conversation, and YES… we know the ones who say, “I’m just dropping off,” and somehow we’re still standing at the front desk talking 30 minutes later! 😂😂 We know the parents who call to check on their babies, the ones who watch for every picture we post, the ones who immediately notice when their baby isn’t in enough photos 😂, and the ones who come through that door with a story that has the entire front office laughing before the morning has even really started. Those moments matter to us.
And somewhere along the way, so many of you stopped feeling like “customers.” We know about your vacations, your families, your celebrations, your new jobs, your stressful days and all the little things happening in between. We’ve celebrated good news with you, laughed until our stomachs hurt with some of you, listened when you needed someone to talk to, and probably spent way too much time standing at that front desk saying, “Okay, ONE more thing before you go…” 😂❤️ Those relationships are something money cannot buy. You came to us because you needed someone to care for your fur baby, but many of you ended up becoming people WE genuinely care about, too.
Thank you for believing in this little crazy, fun, sometimes completely over-the-top place we call Fur Baby University. 😂🎓🐾 Thank you for understanding that when we come up with another theme, another event, another contest, another photo shoot or another idea that has absolutely nothing to do with ordinary doggie daycare 😂😂… it’s because we genuinely LOVE creating memories with your babies. And instead of looking at us like we’ve completely lost our minds, you jump right in there with us! You dress them up, make reservations, cast your votes, leave your comments, share the posts, laugh at the pictures and cheer us on.
And can we talk about how seriously some of y’all take these FBU activities?! 😂😂 We announce a contest and suddenly we have parents campaigning like it’s election season! We post pictures and y’all are zooming in trying to find your child! 🔎🐶😂 We have Picture Day and some of these babies arrive looking better than the STAFF! 😂 We have graduation and parents are ready to see their babies walk across that stage like they’ve earned a doctorate degree! 🎓😂 And WE LOVE EVERY SECOND OF IT because you understand what makes FBU different~we’re going to love these babies, but we’re also going to HAVE FUN loving them!
Thank you for the conversations at the front desk, the stories that keep us laughing, the encouraging words, the social media comments, the referrals, the kindness you show our staff and all the little things you probably don’t even realize mean so much to us.
Thank you to the parents who tell their friends, coworkers, neighbors and family members about us. Every time someone walks through our doors and says, “someone told me about Fur Baby University,” please know how much that means. Your recommendation carries our name into places an advertisement never could. ❤️
And thank you for giving us grace. Every day may not be perfect. There may be a forgotten item, a misunderstanding, a crazy busy morning or one of those days when the phones won’t stop ringing and everybody decides to arrive at the exact same time. 😂 But so many of you continue to show us kindness, patience and understanding because you know our hearts and you know how much we genuinely love these babies. That means more to us than we could ever put into words.
Some of you have been with us since the beginning. Others joined our family somewhere along the way. And some of you are brand new. But every single one of you has helped make FBU what it is today.
We may call ourselves a university, and your babies may be our “students,” but somewhere along the way, this became so much more than daycare, boarding and grooming.
❤️ IT BECAME A FAMILY. ❤️
Your babies become our babies. We learn their personalities, their best friends, their funny little habits, who needs extra cuddles, who thinks they own the play yard, who is going to cause a little harmless chaos before breakfast 😂, who has absolutely NO intention of listening today, and who walks through the door already knowing exactly where they want to go.
We know the babies who practically drag you through the parking lot because they’re ready to get inside. 😂 We know the ones who don’t even bother saying goodbye once that door opens. We know the ones who suddenly act like they’ve never met their own parents when it’s time to go home because apparently FBU is more exciting. 😂😂 And although we might tease you about it, there is no greater compliment than seeing a fur baby excited to walk through our doors.
Because that tells us something very important:
They feel safe here.
They feel loved here.
They know they belong here. ❤️🐾
And behind every one of those precious babies is YOU ~ a parent who chose us. You had choices. You could have trusted someone else. But you chose Fur Baby University.
And every single time you pull into our parking lot, hand us that leash and trust us with a piece of your heart, we are reminded of the responsibility and privilege that comes with that choice.
So today, there isn’t just one Thankful Thursday recipient.

We wouldn’t be Fur Baby University without our students…But we certainly wouldn’t be FBU without THEIR AMAZING PARENTS! ❤️🐾🎓
So here’s to YOU ~ the chauffeur, the treat buyer, the belly rubber, the picture taker, the bedtime snuggler, the dog-hair-covered outfit wearer, the person whose phone probably has 3,000 pictures of the same fur baby 😂, and the proud parent who will tell anybody willing to listen just how special your baby is.
