A Ray of SonShine

Sonny is still hoping for his forever-home. Sonny is a great dog, who is intelligent, communicative and loving. He would thrive in a quieter home with a lot of routine because he likes to know what to expect. He enjoys an easy walk in the morning and evening, plays independently with toys and loves human companionship.

He is ok with cats, older kids and likes most dogs. He is an all-star snuggler and likes to sleep under the covers with his head on a pillow! Sonny has an excellent training background and his trainer will support his transition into his new home and continue working with Sonny for a successful placement as part of his adoption package.

I had a training session. I will now sleep for 172 hours, that is 3 days in dog years. I am mastering my skills, learning new expectations and continue to score remarkable high. That should earn me a new marrow bone, jerky treats, one stuffy, and something from the grill, right?

🌞Spending a little time in nature, sniffing through native flowers, following the bumblebees and bird watching are some of Sonny’s favorite things. A dog helps ground a human and ease their mind of a hard world. Sonny is taking applications to be someone’s big guy!

My dogs face when she hears that Sonny didn’t receive any applications from an e-blast by the rescue or from posting on 25 group pages.
My girl is petrified of other dogs but doing her best to accept that our family is fostering Sonny while he is up for adoption to keep him out of the shelter.
If you can keep sharing, talking about Sonny out in the world and help us find an adopter for him we would be deeply grateful.

Sonny is ready for a little fun in the Sun! His internal clock tells him what time the sprinklers go off each morning and he is practicing running through them but the water chomping is funny so enjoy the few seconds he was allowed to do so! Sonny is still in urgent need of a foster or adopter. Please keep sharing and talking about him, you never know who might be ready for a trained dog full of love and affection to share life with.
