PetSmart Westwood was BUSY yesterday — and our pups loved every minute of it! 🐾❤️

We had such a successful event, with adoptions, applications, new connections and lots of interest in our dogs throughout the day. 🎉🐶

We can’t thank everyone enough who stopped by to meet the pups, chat with our fosters and volunteers, and learn more about adoption.

A huge thank you to PetSmart Westwood for having us, to our incredible fosters and volunteers who made the day possible, and to everyone who came out to support From Alone to Home Rescue.

Days like this are exactly what rescue is all about — getting these dogs seen, making connections, and helping them take that next step toward home. ❤️

Meet Lady — a 4-year-old Dachshund mix lowrider with a whole lot of personality packed into those little legs. 💕🐾

Lady is also the mama to our L litter puppies. 🐶💗

Lady has only been with us a few days, but she’s already showing us what a funny, lovable girl she is.

🐕 Dog-friendly and enjoying her canine company
🦮 Loves going for walks
🚗 Car rides? Absolutely! She loves them
🏠 Crate trained
💋 Big fan of giving kisses
🎾 Active, affectionate and fun

Lady is settling into foster life beautifully and making herself right at home. She’s the kind of girl who wants to be part of what you’re doing — whether that’s heading out for a walk, hopping in the car for an adventure, or handing out kisses at home.

Lady is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations.

🐾 Meet Lance — a 15-week-old Dachshund mix with floppy ears, sweet eyes, and a happy-go-lucky personality. ❤️

Lance is a happy-go-lucky little guy who is settling right in and making great progress. His mom is a Dachshund mix, and this handsome boy has those floppy ears and puppy-dog eyes working overtime.

Lance’s weekly report card:

🚽 Potty: On track
🦮 Leash walking: Much better!
🏠 Crate: Great
🚗 Car rides: Great

And when it comes to making friends? Lance is pretty easy to please:

🐕 Dogs: Yes
🐈 Cats: Yes

⭐ He’s happy-go-lucky, loves chewy toys and treats, and is just an all-around fun little puppy.

Two sweet girls have been waiting for their forever homes — and now someone very special is giving them a little extra help. ❤️

A generous sponsor has offered to cover the adoption fees for Sabrina and Jill, whether they are adopted together or separately.

These girls are best friends, but they are not a bonded pair. Each can absolutely find her own perfect family.

❤️ SABRINA
Sabrina is a happy, goofy 11-month-old Lab/Border Collie mix who loves other dogs and is always ready for an adventure.

🐾 Enjoys adventures
🐾 Best with older kids
🐾 Had paw surgery as a pup — and it doesn’t slow her down one bit
🐾 Loves soaking up all the affection she can get

Jill is a beautiful 10-month-old Lab/Great Pyrenees mix who has blossomed during her time in foster care.

🐾 A little shy when meeting people at first — patience helps her shine
🐾 Needs a confident dog in the home and a fenced yard

If Sabrina and Jill were adopted together they will need a fenced yard.

❤️ Both girls are spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations.

And while their adoption fees have been sponsored, our adoption process has not changed. Every adopter will still complete our full application and screening process, and each girl will be placed only in a home that is the right fit for her individual needs.

The sponsor simply wants to give Sabrina and Jill a little extra help finding the families they’ve been waiting for.

💙 COHYN UPDATE: This 4-month-old boy is doing SO well!

Cohyn has been settling right into foster life, and his latest update is full of good news. He’s a happy, playful puppy who loves people, loves other dogs, and has been especially wonderful with children. 🐾

His latest progress:

🚽 Potty training: Doing great
🦮 Leash walking: Good for a puppy
🏠 Crate: Doing great
🚗 Car rides: Great in the car
🐕 Dogs: Yes!
👧 Kids: Great with them
👨 Adults: Yes
🐈 Cats: Unknown

⭐ Cohyn loves to run around, play and be part of whatever is going on. He’s social, fun and making great progress as he learns all the things a young puppy needs to know.

💕 Curious, cuddly, and always ready for a belly rub… meet LOLA! 🐾

At just 15 weeks old, Lola is an adorable Dachshund mix who is expected to be medium-sized when fully grown. And according to her foster, she’s an absolute sweetheart! 🥹💕

Lola is the perfect mix of curious little explorer and cuddle bug. She loves checking out what’s going on, but she’s just as happy being scooped up and held. 🥰

Her foster says Lola:

🦮 Walks nicely on a leash
🤗 LOVES being held
👋 Enjoys meeting and spending time with people
💕 Is always happy to roll over and show off that belly!

🐾 FROM ALONE TO HOME: WHERE ARE THEY NOW? 🏡
❤️ Foster Fail Edition: Kodiak/Kodi

Remember Kodiak — now mostly called Kodi? Look at him now. ❤️

Kodi’s family calls him “such a brave soul.” When he first arrived as their foster, everything was so overwhelming — people, cars, even toys. He had no idea what to do with them yet.

But that didn’t matter to them. They knew they had a great life to offer this boy — and it only took about five days before he won them over and they couldn’t imagine the house without him.

And just like that… foster fail. 😂❤️

Now 32 lbs, Kodi is walking on a leash, doing his potty outside, jumping into cars, taking laps in the lake and enjoying a collection of 20+ toys!

He’s met dozens and dozens of people, played with bigger dogs and remained gentle through it all. He’s mastered sit by both voice and hand signal and is doing great with stay and come too.

And yes — he fit right in with the family cat. 🐾

It’s been a month now, and his family says it feels like he’s been there for years. ❤️

As they put it: “Who adopted who?” ❤️

📄 Jill’s applying for her FUREVER HOME! 🏡 Her qualifications? Professional Greeter, Playgroup Pro & Expert Snuggler! 💕🐾

At around 9 months old, this beautiful Lab/Great Pyrenees mix is doing SO well! 🥹 She’s settled beautifully into her foster home and continues to grow more confident every day.

🐶 Professional Greeter: Jill has met every boarder who’s come through Dog Walkah Pet Services LLC, and she honestly hasn’t met a dog she doesn’t like! She’s officially earned the title of Greeter of Dog Walkah. 😂🐾

🚗 Playgroup Pro: She’s even decided she’s part of the work crew! After playgroup, Jill hopped right into the car with everyone else like, “Don’t forget me!” She rode perfectly and let out her happy little squeaks when they pulled back into the driveway. 🥹🏡

💕 Expert Snuggler: At home, Jill is such a sweetheart. She loves couch and bedtime snuggles and is also a great little watchdog—just a bark or two when something’s happening, then she settles right back down.

Watching Jill blossom into this happy, loving girl has been pretty incredible. 🌸🐾

Her perfect forever home will have another confident dog to be her buddy and help her continue to grow and thrive. ❤️
