❤️ RESCUE IS HARD
❤️ BUT WE ARE DIFFERENT
Rescue is hard.
Harder than most people ever see.
Harder than we ever talk about.
It’s the late‑night emergencies.
The impossible decisions.
The dogs who come broken, scared, sick, or forgotten.
The ones everyone else says are “too much.”
It’s the comments that say,
“Why bother?”
“It’s too expensive.”
“Just let him go.”
It’s hearing euthanize
when your heart is screaming
FIGHT.
And that’s who we are.
We fight when others give up.
We fight for the dogs who’ve already lost everything.
We fight for the ones with no other options.
We fight for the ones who still have hope in their eyes
even when their bodies are failing.
We fought for Gus.
Two episodes of IMPA.
A leg filled with infection and pus.
Emergency surgery.
ICU care.
$37,000 to save his life.
Some said stop.
Some said give up.
Some said it wasn’t worth it.
But we looked at Gus - seeing the sad, hopeful eyes.
We looked at Clara — searching for her brother.
We looked at the love they came from and the love they still had for each other.
And we said:
No not today.
No not this dog.
No not this family.
Rescue is hard.
But giving up is easy —
and we don’t do easy ever.
We don’t turn our backs. We don’t walk away We do what’s right.
We do what’s humane.
We do what gives dogs like Gus and Clara a future. A bonded pair that one just needed a chance
We never choose easy.
❤️ This is who we are.
❤️ This is rescue.
