Here are photos of the stray female cat we found just before the storm. Hopefully someone recognizes her. We have temporarily named her Audrey (for Audrey Hepburn and her career as well as the alien from Little Shop of Horrors).

Found, adult female tabby cat in Westville Estates near intersection of SR 2 and 6. Gentle and loving. She was examined by vet and is thin but otherwise appears to be in good health. May have been on own for several weeks. She's safe at our home while we sort out her future. Please repost and share her story. If no one claims her we will work to have her adopted or placed with a rescue/shelter. Contact me at FB Messenger.

Goldie loves playing! Here he's playing with a toy and Willow (grey tiger) and Mayor Tom (under the foot of the bed). Goldie could go as an "only child" but he's close to Nod (orange and white). Both the "gingers" are intrigued with other orange cats.

Wynken, Blynken, and Nod one night
Sailed off in a wooden shoe,—
Sailed on a river of crystal light
Into a sea of dew.
"Where are you going, and what do you wish?"
The old moon asked the three.
"We have come to fish for the herring-fish
That live in this beautiful sea;
Nets of silver and gold have we,"
Said Wynken,
Blynken,
And Nod.

The old moon laughed and sang a song,
As they rocked in the wooden shoe;
And the wind that sped them all night long
Ruffled the waves of dew;
The little stars were the herring-fish
That lived in the beautiful sea.
"Now cast your nets wherever you wish,—
Never afraid are we!"
So cried the stars to the fishermen three,
Wynken,
Blynken,
And Nod.

All night long their nets they threw
To the stars in the twinkling foam,—
Then down from the skies came the wooden shoe,
Bringing the fishermen home:
'Twas all so pretty a sail, it seemed
As if it could not be;
And some folk thought 'twas a dream they'd dreamed
Of sailing that beautiful sea;
But I shall name you the fishermen three:
Wynken,
Blynken,
And Nod.

Wynken and Blynken are two little eyes,
And Nod is a little head,
And the wooden shoe that sailed the skies
Is a wee one's trundle-bed;
So shut your eyes while Mother sings
Of wonderful sights that be,
And you shall see the beautiful things
As you rock in the misty sea
Where the old shoe rocked the fishermen three:—
Wynken,
Blynken,
And Nod.

Update on Ladi, the sweet older cat who lost her home. She was accepted at The Independent Cat Society in Westville and is doing well. She has regained the weight lost while she was homeless and is keeping herself comfortable. What she REALLY needs, though, is a loving home. She's a young senior cat and deserves someone who will love her for the rest of her life. Please visit her at the Independent Cat Society, Westville, IN. She will charm you!

Henry and Goldie (male) are both available for adoption. Goldie is part of a group of 4 kittens who play all the time. Henry is a more mellow 3 year old who is looking for a home for just him. He's quite affectionate.
