Will (left) and Mommy (right). They are inseparable.

Will came to us when his human mom sadly passed away. She asked if we would be a safe place for him to land when she received a devastating diagnosis of stage 4 lung cancer. She was a friend of ours and the only answer was yes.

Mommy was part of a law enforcement case involving 41 horses that were seized from one property in a hoarding situation. Mommy, like most of the horses that were seized, was extremely emaciated from starvation. We were the humane agent who took custody of all of them.

Today, they are living the good life -- side by side, always.

Beautiful skies today with clouds being carried by the wind shears over Bailey.

How wonderful for Bailey to be outside to experience this after having been locked in a stall for six years standing in feet of manure and urine with food and water provided only occasionally.

Today, Bailey is free to enjoy the fresh air, sunshine, good meal, and beauty that surrounds her because a team of people rallied around her -- a concerned young man, law enforcement, a veterinary evaluation, and our response as certified humane agent, made possible because of the generous support of friends like you. It takes a village.

Breathe in. Exhale. Enjoy. With our heartfelt gratitude.

Tucking in the animals for the night. There are 70 in our care, including horses, cows, sheep, chickens, ducks, guinea hen, a goose, plus two barn cats (Isit and Thor).

Featured here, KC, LBJ and Rio enjoying their grain before moving on to their hay and a good night's sleep. With thanks to our supporters for ensuring all of the animals at our farm have full bellies and a safe, warm place to sleep. Rest well all.

Beautiful fall day with plentiful sunshine. Delightful after a rainy week. All of the horses enjoyed being brushed by our volunteers, Mary, Rick, and Mike. Here are a few photos of Mike and Rio, along with a lovely capture of the colors in the light. Gratitude abounds.
