🐾 FREE SPAY & NEUTER DAY! 🐾

We're excited to announce that MCCAC is partnering with SNIP WV to offer FREE spay/neuter surgeries for local pets! ❤️

This opportunity is made possible through funding from the Subaru Loves Pets Grant, helping make spay/neuter services more accessible to pet owners in our community.

📅 Tuesday, October 13, 2026
📍 SNIP — Sabraton
⏰ Drop-off: 7:30–8:15 AM

There will be a limited number of spots for dogs and a separate number of spots for cats.

A few VERY important things to know:

❤️ Spots are limited and applications will be reviewed by MCCAC.
❤️ Dog and cat applications will be reviewed separately.
❤️ You may request assistance for multiple pets on one application.
❤️ If selected, you MUST be able to personally transport your pet(s) to SNIP in Sabraton for drop-off between 7:30–8:15 AM on October 13.
❤️ Submitting an application does not guarantee a surgery spot.

Selected applicants will be contacted by October 5th via phone with additional information.

We are incredibly grateful to Subaru Loves Pets for providing the funding to make this opportunity possible! 🐾

Please share this post and help us spread the word to pet owners who may need assistance getting their pets spayed or neutered. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday for our Community Pet Food Giveaway & Microchip Event! We were so happy to see so many families and their pets!

🐾 41 families received food
🐾 212 pets were fed
🐾 27 pets were microchipped

These numbers represent 212 pets who went home with full bellies and 41 families who received a little extra help caring for the pets they love. ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, helped with setup, registered microchips, distributed food, and made this event possible. We couldn't do it without our community!

📍 If your pet was microchipped yesterday, please remember to register your microchip ASAP! A microchip only works if the registration information is kept up to date. If your pet ever gets lost, that information is what helps get them back home.

🐶🐱 Want to help us feed the next group of families?

📦 Dropping off unopened bags or cans of pet food at the shelter Monday–Friday, 10 AM–5:30 PM

Annie - #33630
Female | 1 Year Old | 40 Pounds

Annie is a sweet girl who is still figuring out the world around her. She can be a little timid at first, but once she warms up to you, her fun personality really starts to shine! ❤️
Once comfortable, Annie is a very energetic girl who loves to play, especially with squeaky toys! She is friendly with the people she has gotten comfortable with, although she does not enjoy having her feet touched and will need a family who can respect her boundaries.
Annie would do best in a home without children where she can take her time getting comfortable and continue building confidence.
If you're willing to give Annie a little patience while she gets to know you, you might just discover what a fun and loving girl she can be! 🐶💕
