Libre Winds Australian Shepherds

We've found a new, more "local" Vet today thanks to our Kitt Kat getting up to shenanigans she couldn't handle!!! 🤦

We had a minor emergency here and spent 2 days calling our normal Vet (who couldn't fit us in), and other Vets within our area and NOBODY could accommodate us until we found Mesa Vista Veterinary in Raton, NM.

WHAT. A. BLESSING!!! ❤️

It's phenomenal to find a Vet who was willing to squeeze us in and who took such good care of our Kittles! Now, we'll have a Vet who's only an hour away as well as our established Vet who's 2 hours away.

This world needs a lot more good Vets!!!

If you're doing amazing things with your Libre Winds babies, please PM us and send pictures! We'd love to see and hear your babies' stories! It fills our cup to overflowing to hear about our furkiddos!
❤️🐾❤️

Pictured below is our extraordinary boy, "Beamer" (Thornapple bred) & our "Blaze" (Briarbrook bred) from many, many years ago when we traveled to shows, competed and our dear "Beamer" and his girlfriend, "Blaze" served as official AKC Meet the Breed representatives.

Beambox & Blazey were quite the dynamic duo going around the circuit introducing folks to the gorgeous & greatest breed on Earth~ the Australian Shepherd!!! ❤️🐾❤️

So many folks were & are unaware that the Australian Shepherd comes in 16 different, variable color patterns with each puppy being dynamically unique and unlike any other baby. Here at Libre, we are especially in love with the Solid Tri, Bi and Self patterns.

In our entire history, we've only taken one Blue Merle Girl into the ring to show in Conformation because we rarely do Merles! Our AKC Meet the Breed reps introduced folks to the Standard Solid Tri patterned dogs in both Red ❤️ & Black 🖤 (our breed's base colors).

We sure do miss those good ole' days from long ago doing PR for our beautiful & amazing breed!!!

This last weekend, our prodigious Sire, "Libre Winds Lightning Liddil" (LiLi) was the OPPD (Omaha Public Power District) Spokesdog at the ~International Lineman's Rodeo~ held in Overland Park, KS!

LiLi did an amazing job advocating for his people, and, as always, made a TON of new friends!!! ❤️🐾❤️

Check out all the excitement from this last weekend on the International Lineman's Rodeo page!!!

From our friend and Libre Winds Family member...

The latest pics we've gotten from "Gunny" (formerly known as "Bo"), climbing our Rocky Mountains with his Master to go leaf peeping and see what they could see from the top of the summit!

Oooh, this little Girl! Lordy! 🫣

She's mastered "Sit!" like she was born already knowing the command. Her ability to understand every word I say without being trained to it borders on scary, and she possesses an innate "knowing" that can't be explained.

"Li'l Miss Josie"...the very first fully blue-eyed Aussie I've ever been willing to keep in my breed program.

This li'l lady is truly somethin' else!!! 😱
