We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Receptionist who is organized, personable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Position Summary
As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a vital role in ensuring every visit begins and ends with outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to multitask while maintaining professionalism and efficiency.
Responsibilities
·Welcome clients and patients in a friendly, professional manner
·Answer multi-line phone calls and respond to client inquiries
·Schedule appointments and manage the daily appointment calendar
·Check patients in and out efficiently
·Process payments and maintain accurate financial records
·Enter and update patient records using veterinary practice management software
·Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, and clients
·Assist with prescription refill requests and appointment reminders
·Maintain a clean, organized reception and waiting area
·Perform additional administrative duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
·Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a veterinary clinic or as a receptionist in a medical or healthcare office is required.
·High school diploma or equivalent
·Excellent customer service and communication skills
·Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment
·Comfortable working around animals of all sizes
·Proficient with computers and able to learn veterinary practice management software
·Professional demeanor and the ability to remain calm during emergencies or emotionally challenging situations
