🐾🐾 Fostering saves lives! 🐾🐾

We currently have approximately 60 kittens in need of foster homes…kittens are a vulnerable shelter population who need the community’s help in order to survive & thrive!

WAGS provides medical care & food but the kittens desperately need a safe place to be housed so they stay as healthy as possible until adoption.

Kitten season is coming in fast this year, come join our Volunteer Kitten Foster Coordinators to learn more about how you can help!

Warm Your Heart Wednesday...Foster Edition!!

Day 8: Joannie aka Jono finally went to the bathroom at the backyard the first time after I crated her and carried her to the backyard. Hopefully she will eventually learn to go by herself one day!
She definitely becomes my shadow and following me around. Also, She started playing with my pups. It is slowly improvement but it is good start today.

Fostering isn’t just about saving kitten lives. It also happens organically—it creates friendships, partnerships, and long-term, meaningful relationships.

That “side effect” was completely unexpected. It grew out of people coming together to help a small nonprofit and save animals.

Look at one of these events from last year—we’ll be sharing more incredible testimonies and photos soon. Because this is a beautiful thing in a world that sometimes forgets that community is the core of who we are.

It’s what makes a society better.

ATTENTION TRAPPERS

WAGS will be holding off on the TNR/Community Cat Program until September 2026 when we can reevaluate our cat and kitten population. Kitten season has hit the shelter in full force and we will need every minute of surgery time to get these little one spayed/neutered and ready to go into their forever homes.

Thank you for understanding and we will update this in September once we know where we stand.
