At Ultimutt Pup Academy, we take a relationship-first approach to boarding. Our enrollment process gives us time to get to know your dog, build trust, and ensure they’re comfortable in our environment before longer stays.

Every new dog completes an Introduction Session where we evaluate temperament, comfort level, and readiness for our program. This helps us create a safe, positive experience for every dog in our care.

Many of our boarding dogs are graduates of our training programs, helping create the calm, structured environment that sets Ultimutt Pup Academy apart. New dogs are always welcome, and our onboarding process helps them transition comfortably into the group.

We’re not just reserving a spot. We’re building a relationship so your dog feels comfortable, confident, and at home when they stay with us.

And let’s be honest, it’s not just the 4th anymore. Fireworks start days or even weeks before the holiday and can keep going long after, which means many dogs stay stressed for much longer than one night.

At Ultimutt Pup Academy, we believe dogs do best when they’re staying with people they know and trust. That’s why we encourage new clients to begin the onboarding process well before their trip. Building a relationship through training, Day Camp, or other services helps your dog feel comfortable, confident, and at home while you’re away.

It also allows us to ensure every dog is a good fit for our environment, including being comfortable around dogs of all sizes, relaxing in a crate, and settling into our daily routine. This helps keep boarding safe, stress-free, and enjoyable for everyone.

The reality is that not every breed, not every size, and not every dog has the same considerations.

Don’t confuse popular opinions with universal facts.
