Dogs should generally ride in the car in an impact crate for safety when at speeds over 35 miles an hour. For local rides, we are practicing in the back of our SUV with snacks. Prevent injury from jumping out or running in the street, by practicing first with your young puppy!

Here are tips on how to socialize, a fearful or aggressive young puppy to other dogs. Bougie has been excellent with her human skills, but was sorely lacking in her confidence with dogs, other than her older sister. In order to create the most successful greetings: disallow a big wind up, allow your puppy to observe other dogs at a distance to become comfortable with safe body language. Of course you’ll need to choose super calm and tolerant dogs to walk with or follow at a distance, gradually closing the gap over of course of 15 to 20 minutes.
