Where did August go??? Time really flies with good friends…. we’re sad to say goodbye to all our summer vacation boarders, but happy to relax into cooler weather with all our daycare regulars.

Ah, those last heady weeks of summer vacation before kids head back to school…… So many pond paddles, woods hikes, meadow sniffaris, play yard romps, and couch cuddles to fit in during this last hurrah! 🎉☀️🕶️

We’re pretty sure there’s no better way to savor the tail end of summer than with an invigorating run, a cooling dip in the pond, a tasty treat, a relaxing sniffari, and the company of great friends. Does your dog agree?

Heatwave? 🥵 No problem….. it’s pond paddle season at the Grinning Dog!! 🌊🦆🐶

While all of our play & hiking areas have abundant shade and the whole building is air conditioned, there’s no summer joy quite like seeing a labrador hit the water. We all been having so much fun out in the pond section of the Nature Park again!

And don’t worry…. no huskies were harmed in the making of this post! 🤣🩵

Whether it’s 65 degrees and raining, or 95 with the sun blazing, we’ve got the setup for maximum doggy fun 🐶

We’re loving hosting our summer vacation boarders, and keeping the daycare regulars well-supplied with sniffs, smiles, and socialization. ☀️🕶️😄

Grinning Dog community, we're reaching out because one of our families could use your help! 🌟

Sweet and sassy 9-year-old husky mix Murphy (pictured) has been battling severe, acute pancreatitis (plus subsequent complications) at Integrity Vet and Tufts for the last several weeks. The inflammation was extensive, and her family was facing the tough decision of committing to intensive specialized care, or the possibility of saying goodbye.

We are so glad that with the help of the Tufts team, she is making a promising recovery and has been able to come home! Still though, her owners Ray and Emma are bracing for a staggering five-figure vet bill. We’re hoping you can help them recover too.

The clover and mountain laurel are in spectacular bloom, so it must be early summer at the Grinning Dog!! 🌸🌾💐

We’ve loving all these blue-sky days for long walks in nature, savoring so much sniffing, and supersized smiles with good friends. It’s a good season to Grin! 🐶😁
