Five volunteers recently represented NCCR at the Sketchers Wicked W**e Run at the Liberty Vineyards W**ery. NCCR will receive a donation from Sketchers for the time that the volunteers spent helping them with the event!

Volunteers are always needed for offsite events. We'd love to have you join our great team! If interested, head over to the website https://www.caninerescue.org/get-involved/volunteer/, learn more about volunteering and send in your application!

A TEMPORARY UPDATE FROM NCCR

Out of an abundance of caution, NCCR is temporarily pausing new dog intakes for the next 2–3 weeks following the arrival of a dog who tested positive for parvo. The dog was immediately taken for inpatient veterinary care, and we are taking every precaution to protect the health of the other dogs in our care.

During this time, visits to meet our adoptable dogs will also be by appointment only as we work to minimize any risk of spreading illness.

These are precautionary measures, and we appreciate your understanding and patience as we take the necessary steps to keep our dogs safe. Our commitment to caring for dogs in need remains as strong as ever, and we look forward to resuming normal operations as soon as it is safe to do so.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding!
