🐾 Keeping Your Dog Safe in Social Settings 🐾
Whether your pup loves daycare, boarding, or playdates with furry friends, staying up to date on vaccinations is one of the best ways to keep everyone happy, healthy, and wagging! 🐶💛
💉 Core Vaccines: The Must-Haves
These are the essentials every dog should have:
Rabies 🦠: Required by law in most areas and protects against a fatal virus that can affect both animals and humans.
Distemper (DHPP Combo) 🐾: This all-in-one vaccine protects against distemper, adenovirus, parvovirus, and parainfluenza—serious illnesses that can spread quickly, especially in group environments.
🐕 Bordetella: A Must for Social Pups
If your dog attends daycare, boarding, grooming, or dog parks, Bordetella is a big one!
Also known as kennel cough, this highly contagious respiratory illness spreads easily where dogs play and interact. 🤧🐶
Most facilities require this vaccine—and it’s an important step in keeping your pup (and their buddies!) safe.
🌟 Recommended: Canine Influenza
While not always required, the canine influenza (dog flu) vaccine is highly recommended for social dogs.
Dog flu can spread quickly and cause coughing, fever, and fatigue. Vaccination helps reduce how severe it can be and slows the spread. 🐾💙
🐾 Why It Matters
In social settings, dogs share toys, space, and lots of playtime 🎾—which also means they can share germs. Staying up to date on vaccines helps protect your pup and all their friends.
At Ramsey’s Playhouse, our goal is simple:
👉 Keep every dog safe, healthy, and having a blast in a social environment! 🐕✨
Making sure your dog is vaccinated—especially with Bordetella and considering canine influenza—helps us create a fun, clean, and safe place for everyone.
🐾 Healthy pups = Happy playtime! 🐾
