We’re officially on HP Watch at Happily Evan’s After Rescue… and we’ve started noticing some changes 👀💗

Over the last couple of days, HP has shown subtle signs that her body is preparing for baby. While we can’t predict the exact day just yet, things are definitely progressing!

That means… ⏳ your guesses might need to come in soon!

(You can participate in just the date or add the time & gender for extra fun!)

The closest guess wins ONE of the following:

Miss HP is now in her second week with us and continues to show just how resilient she is. She has earned a spot in the big red barn, where we can monitor her closely with detailed cameras as part of her ongoing care. She is eating and drinking well and especially enjoys her alfalfa slushies, lovingly prepared by Laura LaValley Morris

Beyond her physical progress, we are seeing her spirit shine through. Miss HP seeks connection, finds comfort in gentle handling, and reminds us daily why rescue work matters. Every quiet moment, every soft nuzzle, and every cuddle is a sign that healing is happening.

Thank you to everyone who supports her journey and makes stories like hers possible. 💛

HP says good snowy morning from the rescue! ❄️🐴

Today also marks one week since her gotcha day. She’s eating well, receiving all necessary medical care, and settling in nicely. We’re happy with how she’s doing and grateful to be able to support her during this time.

She’s currently eating about one bale of hay per day (approximately $8.50), along with grain six times daily (about $1.50 total).

Some people have been asking why HP.

It started as an abbreviation for Miss HoneyPenny. Then it reminded me of some great horse products—like the Poseidon Digestive HP for f***l water and GI health. After that, I thought of HP Nutrition, the horse feed company… and then, of course, the printer.

And that’s when it stuck. Because just like the printer, she’s made A LOT of copies. She’s got lots of babies out there 😂🐴

HP has settled into the Happily Evans After Rescue Inc. paddock nicely. She's super friendly guys! Thank you again for making this an easy transition to the rescue river farms.
