Our newest foster dog, Nova. She will be adoptable through RESCUEDohio after her spay. I would LOVE to see her go to a client. She is so so sweet and adorable and will make a perfect companion.

Nova is a 1 to 2 yr old 50 lbs mix breed female who exudes happiness. She LOVES chewy bones, snuggling on the couch (she is very much a lap dog!), playing inside or in the yard with her foster siblings, walks and occasionally chasing the resident cats. She is cat safe but will chase them if they run but has not attempted to harm them.

She knows sit and shake and we are working on other commands. She loves to play but doesn't yet seem to know what toys are for, although she does like chewing bones. She is quiet in her crate and a great car rider! Nova prefers being in close proximity to her humans and will be your shadow, happily following you from room to room but overall is pretty calm for a younger dog.

She is UTD on shots and will be spayed before adoption. If you are looking to add a sweet pup to your family, reach out and ask to meet Nova with RescuedOhio.

All classes have been postponed until Sunday June 7th. While we hope to be able to have class that day, we will reassess when the date gets closer. Thank you all for your patience.

Our 2015 schedule is finally up on our website, the first class of the year is Saturday January 31st from 10am until 2pm. We do still have a couple spots available. Come learn lifesaving skills and help out your favorite rescue group at the same time!

Classes coming up in August. First class is on Sunday August 4th and it is the 4 hour Pet First Aid and Care class. Second class is on Sunday August 18th and it is the 8 hour PetSaver class. If interested, please email me at [email protected]

Easter plants, Easter lilies and other lily varieties included, are poisonous to cats! Chocolate is another dangerous Easter time toxin for dogs and cats.

I had the honor of meeting Dr. Lee last month when I attended the Midwest Veterinary Conference and was able to sit in on her top 20 most common toxins class. I look forward to seeing her on The Rachael Ray Show next week!
