💙🐾 MAXIMUS NEEDS SOMEONE WHO WILL BELIEVE IN HIM. 🐾💙

Maximus was surrendered to NYCACC and found himself on the euthanasia list. 💔

But then someone saw him. Someone believed in him. Hurley’s Heart said YES—and our incredible foster family opened their home and their hearts to him. ❤️

Fosters don’t just provide a place for a dog to stay. They give them a second chance at life. They give them patience when they’re scared, understanding when they’re unsure, and the time and love they need to learn that they are finally safe.

That’s exactly what Max’s foster family has done for him. 🥹 They gave him the time to decompress, helped him learn to trust, celebrated his progress, and showed him that life doesn’t have to be scary.

And Max has been showing them just how much that love has meant. ❤️

This handsome 5-year-old English Bulldog is playful, energetic, dog-friendly, loves walks and baths, and wants to be wherever his people are. He’s smart, learns quickly, and every day he becomes more relaxed and confident. He’s even discovered that couch naps with his humans are pretty amazing! 🥰

Max is looking for a very special adopter who will continue what his foster family started—someone patient, understanding, and willing to follow decompression guidelines while building his trust through positive reinforcement.

He needs slow introductions to new people and would do best with children 12 and older. He can resource guard his toys from people, but he’s a smart boy who happily trades them for a high-value treat. 🧀

🐾 Patient adopter who understands decompression
🐾 Someone committed to continuing his progress
🐾 A doggy companion would be a plus!

Hurley’s Heart will cover Maximus’s ACL/CCL surgery and his care for the surgery through our rescue veterinarian. His new family can focus on giving him the love, patience, and happy home he deserves. ❤️

Mookie is just 8 months old, and this little guy is an absolute LOVE! ❤️ He would do well in just about any situation and is ready to find his forever family.

Now, there is one very important thing you need to know about Mookie…
🤣 He has the ultimate RBF — Rescue Bitch Face! 🤣

Don’t let that serious little face fool you. Mookie is NOT angry. That’s just his face! Underneath that look is the sweetest, most lovable little Frenchie.

Mookie came to us from a breeder with a couple of medical issues that we believe have resolved. He is no longer presenting with those issues, but we want to make absolutely certain that he is 100% healthy. Because of that, Mookie MUST remain local to Long Island. If we need to revisit our veterinarian at any point, we want to be able to get him the care he needs quickly.
