Round 2 through TSA with eight month old Goldiva Goldens psychiatric service dog, Lainey Earl the girl… ✈️🐾

But this time?Her future owner Luca handled the entire process.

Crowds, noises, rolling suitcases, TSA agents, security lines, pressure, movement, unpredictability… and Lainey stayed locked in, neutral, clear headed and fully connected to her human the entire way through.

THAT is the goal.Not just a dog that listens to the trainer… but a dog that confidently performs for their person in the real world 🌎.

An eight month old dog calmly navigating an airport environment with her future handler beside her is a direct reflection of structure, genetics, relationship building, exposure and proper training done correctly from the start.

Lainey Earl the girl — just 7 months old, almost 8 — moving through the airport & TSA security like she’s been doing it her whole life. ✈️🐾

Crowds, rolling luggage, loud noises, tight spaces, moving people, unpredictable distractions… none of it phases her. Just calm, neutral, clear-headed work.

A true service dog isn’t just “well behaved.” They’re environmentally stable, socially neutral, obedient under pressure & capable of confidently existing in real-world chaos without becoming part of it.

Lainey continues to prove exactly that. ✈️🐾

Golden Retrievers are known for being happy, friendly dogs and a lot of them truly are great family companions. But just because a breed has a friendly reputation does not mean people should forget they are still dogs at the end of the day.

They still have instincts, drives, emotions and boundaries just like every other breed. Proper training, structure and understanding still matter no matter how “nice” a dog may seem naturally.

A good temperament is important, but so is leadership, consistency and respect for the animal itself 🦮.

🇺🇸 A1K9 Academy will be CLOSED on Memorial Day as we take time to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

We are incredibly grateful for those who served and continue to serve. Thank you for your courage, sacrifice, and dedication.

Regular operations will resume the following day.

Have a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend from all of us at A1K9® 🇺🇸🐾.
