Welcoming the newest Day Train member to the Fire Bird K9s crew, BRUNO! 🐾💙

Bruno is 5 months old and the cutest fluffy boy! He is very confident and reeeeeeally likes his treats! Bruno is joining the crew to learn some proper socialization skills, recall, leash manners, crate training, as well as general manners in the house like no counter surfing or jumping on guests. His owners have done such a wonderful job already food luring basic obedience such as sit and down, so now it’s all about creating reliability to his commands with duration & distance!

Can you guess the breed? 🐶

Welcome the newest Board & Train, Kitty!! 🐶

Kitty is a beautiful 2 year old Rottweiler here to learn some major leash manners as she pulls very intensely. She also tends to be pretty reactive to bikes, scooters, other dogs and some people on walks. We’ll also be working on lots of confidence building, build reliable obedience commands as well as help with some resource guarding!

Very excited to transform this girl into everything she is fully capable of and then some! 🐾

Biggest welcome Gunnar to the Bird K9s crew to the newest Day Train member!! 💚🐶

Gunnar is a goodie doodle puppy, ~12 weeks old and will be joining me in learning all the proper socialization and obedience skills, as well as basic manners🐾! Today is his first day and he’s already opening up and doing so well meeting new paw-friends, learning leash pressure, and food luring! He loves to follow me around and give me big puppy hugs 🥰. So excited to watch him grow up into a very special boy doing all the things with his family!

The happiest day train crew living their BEST life on a hike! 🐾

Fun fact: every week, day trains AND board and trains go out on hikes with me! On our hikes I love to be able to let the dogs run, play and have the best time all while practicing obedience skills throughout the hike! Mental 🧠 and physical 🐕 stimulation: ✅

🌼Board and Train Maze just wrapped up a 4 week behavioral modification Board and Train program with me!🐾

Maze’s owner has done a really great job with her obedience and working with her behaviors as much as she knew she could! Maze is extremely nervous of everything and strangers, and because of that she would resort to displaying fear based aggression if she felt pressured. Through the 4 weeks I got to work with Maze it’s been my biggest mission to show her the world really isn’t so scary after all if she just trusted me! It took quite some time for her to open up & trust me but once she did I was able to really dive deep into her fears and work with her building confidence and neutrality!

Sometimes we can’t change a dogs genetic disposition but what we can do is help teach management skills and help dogs learn to properly cope with their feelings and have better reactions! Really proud of this sweet girl Mazey and looking forward to her owner being more confident handling her now! 💜
