💙 A VERY SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM OUR KISS MY MUTT FAMILY 💙

We wanted to share some very exciting news with all of you… we’re expecting a bouncy baby BOY! 🩵👶🏼

It felt important to share this news with all of you because over the years, you truly became so much more than clients to us. You became friends, familiar faces, and honestly, family. We have loved getting to know you, your families, and especially all of your amazing pets. 🐾❤️

Today was a very bittersweet day as we began cleaning out the salon. Seeing the space being emptied was incredibly emotional. So many memories, so many dogs, so many conversations, laughs, tears, and friendships happened inside those walls. It’s hard to put into words how much this little salon and all of you have meant to us.

We’ll be sharing some pictures from our gender reveal party as well as some pictures from cleaning out the salon today. One shows the excitement of what’s ahead, while the other shows just how hard it is to say goodbye to this chapter. 🥹💙

Even though the salon is closed, the Kiss My Mutt page will stay right here and open. Please, PLEASE feel free to reach out to us anytime. We want to hear your news! We want to see pictures of your babies, hear how they’re doing, and know about all the little things happening in their lives. 🐶❤️

And if you’ve reached out to us recently and we haven’t gotten back to you, please don’t take it personally and please reach out again! The last couple of weeks have been incredibly chaotic and emotional with everything happening, and we know there are messages we may have missed or simply haven’t had the chance to respond to yet. We truly don’t want anyone to think we’re ignoring you. ❤️

While we are stepping away from grooming for now, we truly hope this is just a “see you later” and not a goodbye forever. We miss our clients already, and your pets really are an extension of our family. We will always want what is best for them, whether that means grooming them ourselves someday again or simply helping however we can.

Thank you for four incredible years of support, trust, friendship, and for letting us love your pets like they were our own. We are incredibly grateful for every single one of you.

Here’s to a new chapter, a sweet baby boy, and hopefully one day… a Kiss My Mutt comeback. 🩵🐾

A very difficult announcement from Kiss My Mutt. 🐾💔

After a lot of thought, conversations with my doctors, and considering what is best for me and my family, I’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to close my doors and take a hiatus from grooming.

Between my pregnancy, the recent injury, and the physical demands of grooming, my doctors feel that stepping away is the best choice for me right now.

After four years of Kiss My Mutt and over 15 years in the grooming industry, stepping away is incredibly emotional. Grooming has been such a huge part of who I am and my life, and I never imagined I’d be taking this kind of break.

But right now, I need to put my health, my baby, and my family first. ❤️

I’m beyond grateful for every client who has trusted me with their pets, supported my small business, referred me to others, and become part of the Kiss My Mutt family.

This is not a goodbye that I want to be permanent. I truly hope this is just a hiatus and that someday I’ll be able to reopen my doors and get back to doing what I love. 🐾

Thank you for four incredible years of Kiss My Mutt and for understanding as I take this time for myself and my growing family. ❤️

Unfortunately, I was injured at work over the weekend after being bitten by a dog and kicked in the stomach. Being a little over three months pregnant, I immediately went to have the baby checked and my wounds cleaned and overall checked out. Thankfully, everything appears to be okay.

To allow myself time to recover per medical advice, I will be canceling and rescheduling all appointments for a minimum of the next two weeks.

If you need grooming during that time, I highly recommend Paige at Mystic Paws 570-690-8707, located inside Mutts & More Consignment Shop in Hanover Township. She is a one-on-one groomer like me, has years of grooming experience, and has appointments available in the near future.

For my recurring clients, if you’re comfortable skipping this appointment and waiting until your next regularly scheduled visit, please let me know. I completely understand if you’d rather see Paige in the meantime.

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support. I’m so thankful for all of you and will keep everyone updated as I recover. ❤️

Shop update!

As we head into the second half of the year, I wanted to give everyone a scheduling update.✏️👻🦃🎅🏻

I am almost entirely booked for the remainder of the year. For clients who are not on a recurring schedule and are hoping to get in before the holidays or before I begin my maternity leave at the beginning of February, please don’t wait to reach out. At this time, December is completely booked, and I only have a handful of appointments remaining in November.📆

I also have some personal news regarding scheduling. Starting immediately, Dale WILL NOT be in the shop daily with me. Even with the salon and him working a second job, things simply haven’t been working cohesively for our family. We are devastated. 🥺

Unfortunately, this means that some dogs may need to be moved to days when Dale is available to help, and some of our usual schedules may no longer line up the way they have in the past. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but this is a situation that is unfortunately out of my hands.

Dog grooming is an incredibly demanding career—physically, mentally, and emotionally. During my last pregnancy, I was fortunate to have Justine by my side, and I was also blessed with a relatively easy pregnancy. This time around, nothing is guaranteed. Between being pregnant, having a toddler with me, and not always having consistent help available, there may be times when I need to make adjustments to the schedule.

Please know that I will continue to do what I have always done: my absolute best to accommodate everyone that I can while still providing the quality care your dogs deserve. I appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support more than you know. This little business wouldn’t be possible without all of you, and I am incredibly grateful for each and every one of you.❤️
