🎄✨ The Countdown to Christmas Continues! ✨🎄

Only 37 days until opening night for us on November 27! 😳

The clock is ticking, and we have LOTS of lights to hang!

Today, we added a grouping of Christmas trees, decorated them with lights, added lights to a few barrier fences, and started installing some permanent lighting around the zoo. Little by little, it will come together!

We still have plenty of work ahead, but we’re making progress one strand of lights at a time!

November 27 will be here before we know it!

Who’s ready for Christmas at the FTAA? 🎄

Today, we welcomed Jasper Second Grade for a day of hands-on learning, and new discoveries!

We love seeing students explore the animal kingdom, ask questions, and learn more about the amazing creatures we share our world with.

Thank you to Jasper Second Grade for spending the day with us! We hope you left with some great memories!

Teachers, we’re now scheduling spring field trips for April and May! Contact us to plan your next educational adventure!

🎄💡 And so it begins… the GREAT Christmas light untangling of 2026!

Thousands of lights to check, miles of tangled cords, and plenty of moments where are we question our sanity.

It’s a LOT of work, but seeing it all come together makes it worth every minute. Today we had Ryen, Larry, Brayden and Sam working on the mess. Broden started putting some of them up. Tomorrow is a new day.

Now, if only these lights will all work once they are up…

Stay tuned! We’ve got a LOT of work ahead of us! 🎄✨

Winter light season: November 27- December 26 Fridays and Saturdays 4PM-9PM (Closed on Christmas Day)

🎄✨ CHRISTMAS IS STARTING TO SHOW UP AT THE ZOO! ✨🎄

We’ve officially started putting out Christmas decorations, and we’re already thinking about how to make this year’s winter Christmas experience even better at Family Traditions Animal Adventure!

We have plans for the following but we want to hear from YOU! 👇

📸 More Christmas photo opportunities? Think fun photo spots, holiday backdrops, and Christmas character cutouts!

💡 More Christmas lights? The more lights, the merrier!

🎄 More decorations and Christmas displays.

🎅 Fun activities? Crafts for the kids, visits with Santa, holiday games, and/or something else?

☕ Holiday treats and goodies by MM Food Service LLC

What a chilly but BUSY day for the FTAA crew!

We had everyone heading in different directions today!

🐐 Broden and Jacob headed to GE with a small mobile of our Barnyard Buddies to share some animal fun with GE employees and their families.

🐢 Brian took a few of our wild ambassadors to the Bainbridge Fall Festival to help spread some knowledge about our animals to the community.

🐾 Meanwhile, we were open at the park and welcomed several visitors, including THREE birthday celebrations! 🎂🎉

And those birthdays reminded us of something worth sharing — you’re never too young or too old to celebrate with us! We love being part of those special moments, no matter your age.

A big thank-you to everyone who visited us, invited us into their events, and helped make today another great day for Family Traditions Animal Adventure!

🥶 A Little Chilly at the Zoo Today!

With the colder temperatures today, some of our animals will be staying cozy inside their heated enclosures to keep them comfortable and safe.

The good news is that we still have approximately 50 species on exhibit for you to see and enjoy!

Just keep in mind that a few of your favorites may be tucked away where it’s warm. Our animals’ comfort comes first, and we appreciate your understanding!

Bundle up, bring the family, and come enjoy a little animal adventure with us!
