Meet Pearl! ๐
10-month-old corn snake Pearl came to see Dr. Emerson for gastrointestinal upset. Just like dogs and cats, reptiles can experience digestive issues that may be caused by factors such as improper temperatures, diet changes, parasites, stress, dehydration, or underlying illness.
Signs of GI upset in snakes can include decreased appetite, regurgitation, abnormal stools, lethargy, or changes in behavior. Because reptiles are experts at hiding illness, itโs important to have them evaluated as soon as you notice something isnโt quite right.
Weโre happy to help exotic pets like Pearl feel their best and get back to slithering happily! ๐๐
