Every dollar helps us cover veterinary care, feed, supplies, and the everyday costs of caring for our horses. Meet Princess Willow 👑🐴 Willow's real journey to JD Farming Horse Rescue got a little... embellished. 😂 Follow her royal trip from California luxury to her new Texas kingdom, featuring the real Willow, real moments from her journey, and a whole lot of Princess Willow attitude. A fun family-friendly horse story for kids, parents, horse lovers, and anyone planning to meet Princess Willow in person at the Renaissance Festival this October. Princess Willow makes a very dramatic entrance to her new home. The video is playful with animations, but it also shows what horse rescue life really is: new places, new routines, and horses adjusting one step at a time. Horse people know the hay better be good. This is a Phoenix update I never thought I would have to share this. Last night, Phoenix suffered a freak accident.
💔She tripped and fell very hard. It was a freak accident that caused a severe hip injury. 💔
We had been fighting alongside her, and she was doing so well. She was gaining weight, getting stronger, and we were looking forward to watching her continue to recover. After the accident, we called the emergency veterinarian. Sadly, because of the severity of her injury, the veterinarian recommended that the kindest thing we could do was let Phoenix go peacefully. Last night, we said goodbye to Phoenix. We desperately wish we could have had more time with her. Thank you to everyone who supported Phoenix and followed her journey. You helped her remember what it was like to be happy again. ❤️

Horse people know the little things matter. Phoenix walked all the way out to the round pin so she wouldn’t ti**le in her food place — a small but very horse-like example of good manners. This is the kind of everyday behavior we notice around here. Calm, patient care helps us see these little wins.

Phoenix is getting more energy, which is a good sign, but she was definitely ready for a shower too. Around here, progress sometimes looks like a bath, a brush, and a little patience while we help a horse feel more comfortable again. Slow progress is still progress, and this is what real rescue care looks like.
