Dear HomeBuddy Clientele,
After much consideration and evaluation I have realized I am forced to raise our current rates. We will be increasing rates by $2 per visit to cover the rising cost of fuel and insurance. This is our first price increase since 2021 and I have worked so hard to avoid being forced to do this and we've now hit the wall. This price increase will be effective October 1st 2026. If you have already booked dates for the month of October, your original price will be honored for that booking. This means that if you're with in the city limits and only have small animals (cats, dogs, cage and aquarium pets) your prices will begin at $19 per visit for approximately 30 min of the sitters time. If you are a rural or large animals client; horses, cattle or have been billed for rural visits in the past you can add $2 to your usually per visit price which varies based on work load and milage. I hope that this will not be a permanent change and beg for your understanding. This is a very small operation and I have worked hard to provide the most efficient and reliable service in the area for the last 9 years, while staying within compliance of the state and insurance.
We understand if this may have an impact on some clients budgets for travel and would like to extend a deep understanding apology and hope you understand why we must make this choice at this time.

Here at HomeBuddy we try to keep our price quotes low and affordable for the region we service. Amendment 5 will greatly impact the current billing structure our clients have become accustomed to. If this amendment passes we will be forced to raise prices significantly to curb the cost of this massive tax increase on our very small business. We have worked hard to avoid increasing our prices through the constant climbing overall costs of operations, so that we can service all those in need of affordable pet care. Please consider where this amendment will impact your household needs before you cast your vote tomorrow. This will not only impact HomeBuddy, but even more important services such as plumbers, electrician, in home cleaning services and childcare work. Not only that we will absolutely see an increase in sales tax on goods across the state, that we all need in our daily lives. Vote No on 4 & 5 tomorrow to save small businesses in rural Missouri and keep your costs as low as possible for the services YOU NEED in your community.

HomeBuddy is currently unable to retrieve voice mail messages (since the T-Mobile/US Cellular merger) and because this is a one person operation there is not always a place where calls can be taken. If possible communication through text is the most efficient way to receive a timely response. Thank you for your understanding while this gets worked out.
