Hi, I’m Liz, the groomer behind Palms & Paws! 🤎
I’ve been grooming for 11+ years, but my love for animals started way before that. I’ve been working with animals since I was around 10 to 12 years old, including volunteering at nature centers and animal rescues.
I actually started out in cosmetology before realizing I’d much rather use those skills on four legged clients. 😂✂️
I was born in Fort Myers, Florida and also spent part of my childhood in the Georgia mountains, which probably explains why this Florida girl still LOVES mountains, hiking and cooler weather. 🏔️

Time for the important stuff!
🐺 Favorite breeds: Irish Wolfhound & Chinese Crested
🦎 I LOVE reptiles and insects. I’ve had a bearded dragon, jumping spider AND praying mantis
🎃 Halloween is my favorite holiday, hands down
🍣 Favorite foods: sushi & Cajun chicken pasta
🥤 Treat drink: Dr Pepper Coconut Cream
☕ If I’m drinking coffee, it’s Everyday Dose mushroom coffee
🌙 Definitely a night owl, morning person against my will 😂
And of course I have my own little sidekick at home, Falkor, my 2 year old deaf mini luck dragon 🐉🤍 Being deaf certainly doesn’t slow him down, and he’s usually sporting some kind of creative color too!
After all these years, one of my absolute favorite parts of grooming is winning over nervous dogs.
There’s something really rewarding about earning the trust of a dog who comes in scared or unsure and watching them slowly realize they’re safe with me. 🤎
And then getting to see how happy their owner is when they see their freshly groomed pup?
That part never gets old.
Okay, now for the things that have absolutely nothing to do with grooming!

📺 Usually rewatching Supernatural at the same time
👩🏫 Plot twist: I used to be a preschool teacher
🧹 If I weren’t a groomer, I’d probably be a crime scene cleaner 🫣😬
🦖 My hidden talent is a surprisingly convincing pterodactyl screech
