Requirements
* Minimum 2–3 years of professional dog training experience
* Ability to provide professional references
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Open-minded attitude and willingness to learn and implement West Michigan K9’s training methods and standards
* Physically capable of handling dogs of various sizes and temperaments

Job Responsibilities
* Conduct private lessons, group classes, and board-and-train programs
* Evaluate dogs and develop appropriate training plans
* Educate clients on training techniques and canine behavior
* Maintain accurate training records and client communication
* Work collaboratively with fellow trainers and support staff
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in our care
Additional Duties
This position may periodically require assisting with kennel operations, including:
* Feeding and caring for dogs
* Cleaning kennels and training areas
* Assisting with daily facility maintenance
* Supporting the kennel team during busy periods
