Employees at the shelter are busy caring for the animals so if you are missing a pet, interested in adopting or have questions about a specific dog please GO TO the shelter. Adoption/meet and greet hours are 10-2 Monday-Saturday

We stop accepting/taking animals at 3pm Monday-Friday

We are closed Wednesdays

🐾 DONATIONS WELCOME! 🐾 The Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter takes in MANY dogs/cats every day. As volunteers, we see when the animals need extra help. Currently they could use help with food and litter 🙏🏻 Donations are always welcome and appreciated!

When choosing a new friend, don’t just choose based on those qualities though…look at their personality and activity level to see if they are a match with your lifestyle. Just because a dog is large doesn’t mean they are super active, they may be a snuggling, couch potato.
