🐾 URGENT: Meet Harriett 🐾

Hi there. My name is Harriett, and I'm desperately hoping someone will see my story and give me the chance I've been waiting for.

I'm a sweet, gentle Pit Bull/Boxer mix with a mostly white coat and beautiful brown brindle patches. Life has been incredibly hard on me, but I have never stopped wanting to love and be loved.

On March 15, 2026, I was found near North Avalon and Dover Road after being struck by a vehicle. I was in terrible pain. One of my legs was shattered in several places, and I couldn't help myself. The staff at the West Memphis Animal Shelter rushed to save me, providing emergency care, X-rays, and everything I needed to survive.

On March 23, 2026, my veterinarian made the difficult decision to amputate my leg. I also underwent spay surgery at the same time. While other dogs were finding homes and moving on with their lives, I spent weeks recovering and learning how to walk again on just three legs.

Finally, by late April, I was strong enough to return to the shelter. I thought the worst was behind me.

But then I became sick with Parvovirus.

I fought for my life all over again. There were days when no one knew if I would make it. I was weak, scared, and so very sick. Somehow, with intensive veterinary care and a lot of determination, I survived. Many dogs don't. I did.

Since then, I've been waiting.

And waiting.

And waiting.

Day after day, I watch other dogs leave while I remain behind. The shelter staff loves me, but a shelter is not a home. The constant barking never stops. The kennels are loud and stressful. Every night I go to sleep hoping tomorrow will be the day someone chooses me.

Being a three-legged dog means I need a family that understands I may have some limitations. Stairs can be challenging, and long walks aren't really my thing. What I need most is a soft place to rest, a loving hand to pet me, and someone who sees me for more than my missing leg.

I am friendly with other dogs. I have so much love left to give. I just need someone willing to give me a chance.

🚨 Harriett is Making an Urgent Plea for Adoption or Rescue 🚨

After everything I have endured—a devastating accident, the loss of my leg, and surviving Parvo—I am struggling with the stress of shelter life. I need a rescue group, foster, or forever family to step forward and help me before the shelter environment breaks my spirit.

Please don't let my story end in a kennel.

Please don't let me spend another day wondering why no one wants me.

I've fought so hard to stay alive. Now I'm simply asking for a chance to live.

❤️ If you have room in your heart and home for a true survivor, please come meet me. I may only have three legs, but I have enough love for a lifetime.

Harriett

Meet Dot, Dudley & Dash!

Dot (the black pup), Dudley, and Dash (both brindle) may be Plott Hounds or another hound mix. These sweet puppies are approximately 4–6 months old, have started their vaccinations, and are heartworm negative.

Their story began on May 22, 2026, when they were found in the tall grass along Rich Road near the bridge. Someone had abandoned them in a busy, high-traffic area, likely hoping they would be found. Thankfully, they were rescued and brought to safety.

Despite their rough start, these pups are ready for a fresh beginning. They can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once they feel safe, they warm up quickly and enjoy attention and companionship. With patience, love, and a secure home, they will continue to build confidence and become wonderful family members.

If you're looking for a loyal companion and are willing to give a rescued puppy the chance they deserve, Dot, Dudley, or Dash may be the perfect addition to your family.

✓ Approximately 4–6 months old
✓ Started vaccinations
✓ Heartworm negative
✓ Friendly and affectionate once comfortable
✓ Looking for loving forever homes

Come meet these deserving puppies and help them write the next chapter of their story! 🐾❤️

Hello Friends fans, family, and followers! Please be on the lookout for a 14-year-old long-haired cat that got away from our friend as she was going into Dr. Gering‘s office. Unfortunately, the crate had a loose spot that she got out of. We believe she is in the general area between Dr. Gering’s office on Graham and the nearby train tracks.
If see her, please call 870-732-7599.
