🎉🐾 Happy Birthday, Willow! 🐾🎂

Sweet Willow was admitted through our Emergency Department yesterday, but today she’s getting the best birthday present of all — she gets to go HOME! 🏡❤️

Willow was a little camera-shy for her birthday photo 📸💕, but we couldn’t let her special day go by without a celebration!

We’re so happy Willow is feeling well enough to spend her birthday at home with her family, where we’re sure there will be plenty of extra snuggles and birthday treats!

Happy Birthday, Willow! 🎈🐶❤️

Apparently Lola had some notes about her medical record… 🐾⌨️

Sweet Lola came to see our Emergency team after doing what puppies do best — eating something she definitely wasn’t supposed to. 🤦‍♀️🐶

Thankfully, Lola did great and was feeling well enough afterward to take a very hands-on approach to her own medical documentation. We’re not entirely sure what she typed, but we suspect it was something along the lines of:

“Patient feels great. Patient is adorable. Patient regrets nothing.” 😂

We loved having this sweet girl with us, but Lola, next time stick to the puppy food! ❤️

Everyone, meet Ace! 🐾💙

This handsome boy came to VMCLI, and we couldn’t resist sharing him. Those ears, those eyes, that nose… you just have to give them kisses! Ace clearly has the whole “make the veterinary staff fall in love with me” thing figured out. 🥰

Thanks for making our day, Ace! 🐶❤️. We are so glad that you are going to be “A” OK!

🐾 A very happy ending for Ozzie! ❤️

This weekend Ozzie was rushed to our ER choking and in respiratory arrest after a bone became lodged in his airway.

Our licensed veterinary technician Rachel immediately jumped into action to emergently intubate him and identified the bone completely obstructing his airway. After a round of CPR and her prompt removal of the obstruction, Ozzie began breathing again. ❤️‍🩹

And just 24 hours later… Ozzie was able to go home to his family (after one final hug from his nurse)! 🥹🐾

We are incredibly proud of Rachel and the entire team who worked together during those critical first moments—and even happier to report that Ozzie did amazing.

These are the moments that remind us why every second, every set of hands, and every member of the veterinary team matters.

Way to go, Ozzie & Rachel! ❤️

Yesterday was the perfect day to celebrate our annual Emergency and Critical Care Department party!!! 🎉☀️🍻
A special thank you to all the staff who stayed behind to hold down the fort to ensure our patients still received the best care ever! 💕🐾
It’s not often this team gets to hang out all together since they all work different hours and shifts spreading over the 24/7 week. It’s days like this we remember what we are grateful for! 💙

Meet “Karl” the Hedgehog! He’s one of our smallest patients to use the water treadmill for Rehab!
Karl had some hindlimb weakness after a recent surgery on his foot, so he is slowly gaining some strength back! Keep it up Karl!! 💕🏃
